3 techs in 6 years... exxxxxcelllent. Though I'm glad to see the Freight being delivered (with great results), I wonder why we didn't get Rocketry in 1882?
Nice turns, Mr President

Looks like another successful round Looks like several of the domestic deliveries were successful Shame we lost that transport - did we make any attempt to spot new Jap cities? or was that why we lost the transport? If there is a inland city across from Whale Island, we might be able to deliver to it without escort.

I searched for Japanese cities with a destroyer, then had it rendevous with the transport right before they were sunk. No cities were found on the coast north of Nagoya.

ah, guess i wasn't specific enough - i mentioned using a spy aboard the transport, or possibly a fighter (when we get one). Guess I should have mentioned that while a destroyer has a vision of 2 spaces, it can only see sea spaces, not land spaces

Good turns ixnay!
My job interview went well, so I am back from afk.
Glad to see the fighter working on the cartenna front.
Looks like we'll still need some more escorts...

Except for the loss of the four freights an excellent series of turns.
A question that does arise from the images posted is, is it worth bribing the 'peasant uprising and getting cannon and musketeers? I mean they will be none units but will only be useful as cannon fodder as I believe Leos has been rendered obsolete by the discovery of Mobile Warfare.....
Not saying cannon fodder is a bad thing..... but are there better uses for our gold. Perhaps placing a defensive unit where indicated on the attached images would be more productive than have the barbs pillage irrigated land and railways etc etc etc....
But again, my congratualtions on a good series of turns...

even if we were to vote and decide that capturing Leos was feasible in the first place

actually, only the musketeer on the forest would be NONE where they stand now, as most are closest to Salamanca. As for Leo's, it was built in CAPITOL some time ago and was made obsolete by our discovery of the Automobile (which made all of our superhighways possible )

Wonderful work, Mr. President!
It's a shame about the Transport, but these things happen and there is a limit to how much escort strength we want to assign to individual Transports.

Very well done. Enemy attacks are weak and unsuccessful, and our techonology is forging ahead. We'll be done in no time.

That's a good suggestion for those barbarians. Since they are only musketeers, we could send a calvary on the hill as well.

It might be nice to build a fortress on that hill. But we would have to be very sure we coulod keep it manned.
If we were sure we could keep it, it would be a good way to rotate units through it to get them "Vet".

If they're only Musketeers... we might want to build a second fortress on grass/plain, so as to grab the barb king.
Really, though, it'd be simpler to just ignore 'em... they can't do us any significant harm, and serve only as a distraction at this point in the game.

Allowing them to waste themselves on our defenses is a legitmiate idea too. But we don't have City Walls there. Just Units. And something else to consider is that the source of the Barbs will send more barbs, and that will demand resource expenditures for defense. The way to deal with a place Barbs originate from is to builkd a city on that area.

I'll second the plan to build a city there - it would allow the possibility for unescorted deliveries (transport starts and ends in the city) to a couple more Japanese cities, or at the very least, cut down on time for safe deliveries. Right now, lacking transports to shipchain through our island cities, safe deliveries take a long time, and escorted deliveries have the risk of what just happened this turn
