multiplayer blues....

Ok,

I play the single player version and it is great!
But...when I play mp(small map with 2 players and 4 ai's) with my brother, who lives in the same city, whenever I move my units or do a worker action it takes forever to see the unit/worker move! I don't get it. My PC aint garbage, I have a cable modem.... any ideas to fix this? BTW we played one game before and this problem didn't happen until the industrial ages, when all the AI's and human players had lots of units, cities etc.

I think cable modem is just too slow.
Anyway try the new patch!

Personally, I think you are out of luck...

I play the game with a friend who is in the SAME ROOM! We play over a 100Mb LAN and encounter slow-down and game hanging issues.

...and all I've found that I can do about it is think mean thoughts about Firaxis.

dont use so many ai`s 4 players max.
i played a game with 4 humans on a 10mb lan
and it runs almost perfect.
