Mr Rogers died...
I hope it's a beautiful day in his new neighborhood. He was 74.

I was aware of him, although as far as I'm aware he never made it over to the Old World. Rest in peace.

Not fair. This is the kind of man who should have lived until he was 100.
The neighborhood's not quite as beautiful today...

I loved his show! In the days of slick action cartoons, Mr Rogers was always a breath of calmness for a kid. For a whole year in my childhood, I wanted to have a traffic light in my living room and be just like him!
What educational programs will the kids of the future watch now that he's gone? Barney? *shudders*

He freaked me out. I always thought he wanted to touch me in my "special place". I think it was those puppets.
I will miss his trips to the candy factories though, as well as being pleasently scared of going to to PBS.

I nevers aw his program as a kid, since I rgew up outside the Us, but from what I have seen fo him, has was an incredably moral and good man. Sad to see people like him die when they still had time to do good.

Oh, get over it. Who wouldn't rather have seen Robertson kick off than Rogers?

Why make the comparison, Boris?
Both are bad. The world would be worse off without both of them. It's poor taste to troll a mourning thread.

I agree with both of you, in different ways. Robertson may be a *****, but wishing him death in a mourning thread is indeed poor form.
