Yes! Stealth Nation Technology Reinforced!
http://www.cbc.ca/stories/2003/02/27...is_crash030227
Quote:

OTTAWA - A Sea King helicopter crashed into the deck of HMCS Iroquois Thursday, damaging the warship and forcing it to return to port.
|
Quote:
|
Two of the four crew members were slightly injured in the accident
|
Quote:
|
The Iroquois left Halifax Monday, on its way to the Persian Gulf.
|
While th naive among you may believe this is an accident, it's actually our way of:
a) Appearing to be coperating (albeit reluctantly) with US foreign policy
b) Not actually putting our sailors in the way of US bombs
c) Maintaining the cloak of invisibility that keeps people from doing a WTC or Bali on us.
Stealth nation technology was invented in the years proceeding the Air India bombing of 1985, and has been gradually perfected since then.

To borrow from space program detractors after Columbia, this is why the Canadian navy and air force need to be disbanded. They have an appaling safety record and contribute nothing to the world. The money is best spent elsewhere.

The air force isn't involved. The Sea Kings are flown by Navy pilots...

We already have that. What we do want are your recipes for deep-fried vegetables, deep-fried fish, deep-fried potatoes, etc. Canadians just don't cut it when it comes to deep frying.

I think that frogger works for the Canadian military.
just look how cunningly he turns this embarrassing **** up by the Navy into a great success that actually boosts Canada's defence.

Hah.
Two minor injuries, but enough damage that the boat has to return to port for major repairs?
I'm glad the rest of the world is so credulous.

Stealth Nation Techonology
|
That's a good one. It's a shame that such techonology cannot be implemented in Israel. We get so much attention that we became like a black hole, nothing that comes near us can escape the attention, even Stealthy nations.

This would have been worthy Yes, Prime Minister material. I can imagine Humphrey Appleby describing it now.

Hah! Do I know Canadian politics or what? (go ahead and answer my rhetorical question; I dare you)

OTTAWA - Defence Minister John McCallum has ruled out sending Canadian ground troops to any war on Iraq.
McCallum confirmed Thursday that the government's recent commitment of peacekeepers to Afghanistan will prevent it from sending ground forces anywhere else for at least a year

We've known that for a long time. Canada doesn't have enough troops for Iraq and Afghanistan and we are scheduled to help in Afghanistan (Germans and Belgians are pulling out and Americans have long abandoned it).

Yes, we've known for a long time...but the government was denying it for a while. They'll string out the rejection of any offer of participation.
First the Army, now the Navy...

This is funny. The Canadian timber industry (under an umbrella organization "Partnership for Growth") has been blasting the Washington airwaves trying to lobby for its interests. All of the commercials mention how much Canada means to the US.
Unfortunately, the Canadian government is pissing away that good media campaign on perfecting the stealth nation technology.

Nope. We're keeping our heads down. No net positives or negatives.

Who is the mastermind behind this stealth nation technology?
We've got the ground troops in Afghanistan, the navy's heading back to the Maritimes, and we propose a UN resolution that is the epitome of compromise... Some nice moves if the intention is to keep us perfectly in the middle of the road, no?
But how can Chretien be that crafty?
