Trading Thread
Sorry I didn't post this earlier. I shall probably update this first post soon, because I cannot write much at the moment, as I have broken my little finger
Let us begin to trade again. We have a huge region, with many specialist products to cater for every whim. Let us continue the "Apolyton Free Trade Agreement" that was started in the early days. Akiria was recently hailed as the greatest region in the world for fishing. We have many delicasies, that will all be on show at the Party to celebrate, which is currently being organised. A comprehensive list will be posted here of what Akiria has on offer. Meanwhile, our specialities this season are the wonderful Akirian Salmon (great smoked), various whitefish that have swam here from neighbouring regions, and the famous Akirian Caviar - a delicasies so expensive that only kings and rulers have tried it. Akiria has strick fishing policies however, that are closely regulated, to ensure sustainability. If you come here to fish, please respect these.

Would you like to trade some of Akirian Caviar for some of our fine Wine Champagnes?
Also other products produced by Wine are, besides our many, red, white and sparkling wines, the Kingdom has one of the largest Automobile Manufacturer in the region, you may say, "who cares?" but one thing that makes our cars different is that the those cars don't need normal fuels, but their engines run with wine (red wine for more sport-like cars, white wine for popular and cheap cars, and sparkling wine for elegant and business cars.
This will resolve the problem of pollution in your country, as it did in our.

Karakas' small arms industry (for armies and for export, as civilians are banned from owning guns here) is doing quite well. Our most recent offering is in the field of anti-personnel weapons, the D-12 automatic rifle. It fires 800 rounds per minute and can be equipped with telescopic sights. Just what a soldier needs to clear a bunker.
If information technology is more your thing, there's plenty of that on offer, too. From word processing software to web browsers to firewalls to encryption programs, if you want it, it's probably manufactured in Pegasus Valley. Just ask at the counter.

Imports
-The Minister of Commerce of Iguana Fire, Chairman Charles Alexander Rohr III wishes to inquire of The Commonwealth of Akira where they acquire their Imported Japanese Schoolgirl as he, and several of his "associates" are most interested in where he can acquire such goods.
-However, Iguana Fire has current regulations restricting the price of imports; imports will all be taxed at a minimum of 50% due to threats of competition.
Chairman Rohr expresses his deep regrets that Iguana Fire cannot comply with the new Free Trade Resolution, but cites the importance of Iguana Fire's economy as a major stumbling block to the ratification of a "Free Trade Agreement" and declares that he cannot, in good conscience, sign such a proposition.
-Iguana Fire has expressed its interest in any nations Information Technologies and has announced that it will be glad to import several new computing technologies developed outside of Iguana Fire.
Chairman Rohr asks that all nations bid their business, but remember that the tax on Information Technologies is 51%; and to take that into consideration when pricing.
Exports
-Iguana Fire boasts a large mining and logging operation; subsidised by government funds.
However, its wood quality is suspect due to the pollution of the mines; but its quality ore is some of the best in the region... and exports carry no tariff.
Iguana Fire is willing to bid as low as 10í for exporting its ore.
(The world rate being at 20í)
-Iguana Fire is also world-reknowned for their delicacy of fired Iguanas. The species, although nearing extinction, makes a tasty side-dish when served with steak or salmon.

Centralis can offer a variety of different products for trade:
Various minerals (though nto right now,a s the mines are occupied by the rebels), with uranium as the laading one, although that industry has declined in recent years.
Large amounts of beef and other animal meat.
Book publishing services.
Packaged tours to our famous casinos.
A variety of manufactured goods.
We would be interested in purchasing computer equipment (although probably not from Akiria, as it would ahve to be very carefully checked to ensure that Akizeta was not using it as a tool of infiltration), armaments (particularly with the civil war currently going on; we would very much like a shipment of Karakas' D-12 rifle), and also Akirian caviar.

The Empire of Drunken Macaque has software that can download porn a million times faster!
We also have the finest bourbon in the region, although a large percentage of it is consumed locally. Generally the day after it has aged for 12 years.

Eternal Cold has uranium and polar bear meat to export. Uranium exports are limited (by law) to only allied nations, which (iirc) is only Akiria . We also have IT professionals available for consultation.
So polar bear and IT are available to all countries that engage in free trade.

True, although generally this world is supposed to be like earth, in development and law of physics. You may do what you want, but most people role-play as if it was earth. I think UR was saying their not possible, although I have no idea either way

The nation or the substance?
I have no idea who runs the nation.
And in my nation, the issue hasn't come up

Marijuania (or more correctly, Ben) doesn't use 'Poly. He doesn't like it here. If anyone wishes to purchase some psychotropic substances, Akiria, due to our weather and environment, has a wonderful selection of 'potent' stuff for sale. Xenoroses it is called, although that appears to be a codename from when it was illegal (a long time ago). Since our policies have become more 'enlightened', it has become much easier to purchase (and taxes through the roof )

I asked him, we started on NS at the same time. He started a libertarian region, I started Apolyton and asked him to join.

Centralis would be interested in purchasing some of these 'xenoroses' for use in the civil war. We intend to sell them to the rebels via the black market so as to drain their cash reserves, increase our own, and decrease their fighting effectiveness to boot.

Centralis would like to exchange some of the weapons seized form the rebels in the civil war for Alecrastian IT services, if Alecrast is willing to trade.

We are most certainly willing. While we've dramatically increased Military spending over what we once had, most of that went towards training, not equiping, our forces.
