Hi Sean!!
Glad to see you're still alive!
Now explain what changes you made: did you limit the movement? restrict the railroad?
As you can see on the game thread, it was a bloody mess, you would have liked it: even you couldn't find it too static...
BTW, the hour is over...

If there's one thing I would suggest it wouldn't even be unit movement or removal of railroads. I would suggest doing something to make Austria and Turkey WAAAAAY weaker than they were. In the PBEM they modernized far too fast.

Yeah Darius, you're right! That's something that bothered me too!
BUT I would change that AND limit movement AND maybe limit railroad

Er, you can't 'limit' railroads, you can either have them, have them in place at the beginning but make them unbuildable, or remove them entirely.

Hmmmmmm.
SW, I'd like to suggest that you limit yourself to creating your own scenarios . . .
. . . Rather than STEALING MINE.
This so-called "history" scenario is little more than a blatant RIPPOFF of my own scenario, AGE of WAR.
I thought that we agreed for you let this drop out of sight.
If you're going to STEAL the work of others, then perhaps you should've chosen someone a little less outspoken than myself. Anyone who wants to examine the situation can readily see that you TOOK my tech tree, my map, and, generally, my scenario concept . . . AND THEN PORTRAYED IT AS YOUR OWN WORK. It's painfully clear that you performed no playtesting or balancing--you probably don't even know how. Frankly, this is despicable and it reflects badly on my own efforts to create a quality scenario. I can't stop you from doing this, but I CAN trumpet what you're doing so that others will see what is really happening. I never dreamed that someone would come into the Civ2 scenario community and STEAL someone else's work like you've done. Moreover, I hardly thought that one of mine would have been the target. Great Just my luck.
SW, you're a liar and a thief.

Sorry Darius, but do you really think it's necessary that you pour some oil on the fire?
I can understand Exile, and I'm sure he will do what he can against this scen (or rip-off), but your encouragements are not really needed.
Of course, it's not my problem...

I guess you have a point, it's your game and you can play it if you want, but it's also Exile's scenario being ripped off and he has a right to let the players know that he's been wronged.
Anyway, I edited the post since I guess my intent did sound harsh.

Nope, not my game, I'm not even part of it! That's why I stated it's not my problem...
I guessed it sounded harsher than you intended, that's why I just had not to mind my own business...
And Yes, Exile has the right to tell the players, of course! But I am sure he had already found the thread...

I didn't know that Exile was going to "press charges" against SW. This is going to be interesting....
BTW, SW: any news on your balkan war scenario?

Is version 1.2 still very similar to Exile's Age of War? For all I know, Soundwave might have finally changed around the parts he ripped off from Exile.

As far as I can see it's the same damn thing but with a slightly stronger field artillery, a better defense value for cavalry, better defense for infantry, some different names for the same units, no more border posts on the German/Austrian border, and new art for neutral cities. IMO still a ripoff, and to make matters worse the problems of the old scenario haven't been fixed.

Oh Yeah?
I wonder how you'd feel if he'd ripped off one of yours . . . and called it his own.
In any case, I had spoken to him and we agreed that he would quietly let this abomination dissapear. Now he creates a thread on ACS talking about his next version! So he lied. But, after all, what should I have expected from this kid? His track record for honesty isn't good.

I suspect that I'd feel exactly how you currently feel.

i've got no interest in playing a rip off of age of war
SW, if you want to make a ripoff of someone's work, don't put it online! I've taken units and graphics from scenarios and put them into my copy of civ2, but i would never put the stuff online, have a little respect and remove the files from your post

It looks like he disappeared again anyway, so we'd need Leo to remove the files.

Just cut the files out of his posts and put 'flowers are purdy' or something. You don't really have to since this thread should get to the bottom soon, just an idea.
