On the same subject:
So alex, I've heard some rumour about the formation of a real, solid national leauge in Brazil. It would be about time, it's sad that the best single country in the football world doesn't manage to play football in a organized and professional way even if it's a poor country. So how is that going, or was it just a stupid rumour?

Well, they are certainly trying to do it. The old sharks in CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) decided that this year's competition would be like the european leagues: every team will play against all the other teams, in two rounds (one match at home and one as a visitor) and the team with the most points in the end will be the champion.
But this model doesn't actually change the corrupt and inefficient structure that plagues almost all football clubs here in Brazil. We have a lot of managers who are incompetent and corrupt, ruining any credibility that our clubs could otherwise have. Why do you think that our national squad has to play against China and other "football powers" in poorly played matches (and our players don't even have time for a training)? Money, that's all. This recent friendly match against China (which ended in a pale 0-0 tie) was a good source of income for CBF: US$ 1 million. Ricardo Teixeira (president of CBF) is probably laughing all the way to the bank now.

Oh yes, I've heard quite a lot about this infamous football-corruption. A reasonable league system however could at least give Brazil a situation with consistently good football for the best clubs.

grave? I thought Farfar was buried at sea in a traditional viking ship pyre with his favorite battle ax and hockey stick?
Alexm - oh good, we get to see the big clubs pretty frequently. Though it is too bad you didn't make Copa Libertadores this year.
It does look a little strange to see the American sponsors on so many kits this year. Watching those little southern clubs River and Boca playing with Pepsi and Budweiser plastered on their uniforms looks odd.

The whole interface is skinable through the editing of XML files so yuo can do pretty much anything you want to it - or download other people's skins.
Personally, I like the original one - I like the CM3 interface and wouldn't want them to change it just for the sake of it.

New gold demo's out now, and the download is only half the size...runs much quicker, and is markedly less buggy than the old one...there still seems to be a problem with injuries, judging by the forums, but it's not a problem I've come across too much.

Injuries are always a problem, but isn't that part of the game?

Yes, a question about that from a cheap git that can't get himself to buy a good computer. What's your impressions of the 2D view of the matches so far? Does it look reasonable and work as it should?
I always annoyed me in the older games when your players conducted some flipper in the opponents penalty area and the second after you lose the ball they have a good shot on goal on the other side of the pitch. That can hardly work nowadays, or are 70 feet shots very common?

Havn't tried this demo (gold one) yet, but I was already impressed with the beta 2d game.
It's feels like your actions matter again, something I never had in cm3 for some reason.

I think you need to be registered to use that link alva, not sure...
On the 2D view, it does show well what you order in the tactics and its easy to spot why you conceded a goal if you couldnt interpret the stats and commentary before. As to whether its realistic of real football, i havent seen any really weird stuff yet, but then ive only played 10 or so games with it and it helps to use it.
