I don't think fortifications - you can only direct sell your weapons, and it looks like only to other countries. I wonder what the minimum is, because the defense index is 60 (higher than Mentop).

Go to the "trade" section on the left hand side (it's towards the bottom), then click "trade directly with countries and corporations". It's actually a nifty little way to get more money into a second country, as long as you have spare cash (which I have a TON of) in your original country.

Good thinking.
I am actually planning to break off Apolyton, and form a federation with my vassals, or something. When I have vassals, that is.

I'm keeping my main country in Apolyton, while all my vassals will have their own federation.
I think this should actually be a rule, so nobody can swing votes in their favor if they have a huge empire).

Maybe, if most of us will become really kick ass, we will use Apolyton as a world headquarters to coordinate our plans, and to take up arms against the masters of the world, like Derrick chang.

I've done that recently just because I needed to make sure to buy military products every month, and things of that nature.

You know, I look at all those indices, and it's rather clear to me now, I've got to build me a Nuclear Missile corporation. I'll build me a couple of batteries, and will just order lots of missiles from them, with contracts.

Replying on Azazel's question: I had to swallow the debt of my electric power corp after all, but that didn't prove to be as much of a problem as I had feared. I'm getting balanced budgets regularily now, the value of my state corps has soared to double the previous record.
I have employment problems though, way too few workers and way too many managers and hi-tech folks. Upgrading corps had had its effect (and I'm continuing with it) but I still have a couple of troublesome companies. (although others are surprisingly profitable, like my 2 household products corps)
My economic strength is still meagre, but I'm on the right track.

Question, is there any point in upgrading quality if you sell most of the production to other state corps? Does the quality of the supplied goods affect the quality of the produced goods?

That's a very good question, and I don't know the answer. That's why I generally don't do contracts. my own corps are too damn good.
say, Colon, what's the name of your country again? You edited it out in that thread.

Yes, if in order to produce a certain good, you use high quality materials, the produced good will be of an higher quality.

Hey, is anybody in the Lynx Minor continent? Specifically , the Auruga Deserts region? That's where I am and I might need some military backup in about 1 game year if possible, but I don't want the whole fed involved because there aren't many with offensive capability.
This is probably more of a "pre-eventive" strike...heck, a war of aggression, but I believe this particular federation to be a possible threat eventually. They have 2 countries on my border and another close behind.
I just want one of the countries for myself - my partner in crime could keep the other, bordering, country just as long as he/she plans to keep it. I want to surround my main country with slaves/friends.

I just created a heavy tanks corp to supply myself with tanks...offensive AA batteries, and heavy artillery also. However, I built them in other countries with my Enterprise. I plan to build more military corporations also to supply my military needs with contracts.

Ok guys, I have a real problem right now: I'm trying to order some quality upgrades for my companies, but when I do, it tells me that:

The price should be greater than or equal to 33843865

Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Set it to best price, immediate, or put a price in that you want to start bidding at and choose fixed price.

it seems that the price has to be at least half of the market price, or something.

And yet I'm trying to bid above market price (to try and keep one of my other corps afloat), and yet it still shows this message up.

Azazel: If you're just gonna use tanks, you will need a lot more than 1500. 500 helicopters...
I would buy like 500-600 offensive AA batteries, like 2-3 thousand tanks, and 2-3 thousand heavy artillery.
Attack with the AA batteries, then go in with the tanks/artillery
