Given that I've never actually killed anyone before, and don't know if I ever could, I honestly don't know. I'd like to say I'd do option #4, but it's entirely possible that I'd do option #2.

Sure I'd join. I'd rather such a unit be made up of normal people like me as opposed to racist kooks who might actually obey an order to kill them, or even independently try to kill them in the wake of the rage the country would be feeling.

I assume you meant to say that the government assures you that the Muslims would be treated fairly.
In that case I'll pick two, but as a pacifist. I'll refuse to submit, but I would not instigate armed revolution.
I'm against 4 for the same reasons as Boris. Why kill someone in order to protect the rights of another? Seems backwards.

Well yes the government would give such assurance if you can believe them it's up to you to decide, as usual, yes and if you refuse to submit I am not saying the gov will execute you, you could go in jail too depending on where you live, it is the choice of some sort of punishent vs. listening to the gov.
Do not forget this all is after national emergency so it might even make sense to many people. As for rounding up musilms let's say that Al Quaeda has taken over the responsibility for detonating the nuke.

Is it just me or is there actually no mention in the initial question of who the perpetrators are? What if the nuclear bomb was launched by North Korea, and Muslims have nothing to do with it?
