New Patch, same old story...
First off:
I havenīt had the time to try out the new patch BUT the readme tell me the changes.
My concern is:
What about the annoying things in Multiplayer? Didnīt they change ANYTHING, there except OOS-Errors ?!
Are techs still researched WITHOUT a notice. Or popup or whatever ? I canīt believe they havenīt fixed this.
The other points we figured out in another thread...where are the MP changes ?!

They didn't fix this because it is working the way they want it to. This was done intentionally. It's not a bug.
FWIW, I agree with you and have complained about it before.

Thatīs just a disappointment. Why do they think, itīs cool that everyone has to keep an eye on research-time and if you forget, youīlll research sth that you donīt want. I simply donīt get it.
No way of modding this ?
I just want a little red "x" in the corner to remind me to change tech.

Is it that hard to set up a queue in your research window? As soon as the game starts, pick your first goal, and click on it. I always click on construction, that way I know I'll get bronze and masonry and iron right off.
If that's not good enough for you, just start shift-clicking. Why bother with changing research every 8 turns or so when you can set a queue for the entire era up as soon as the era begins?
Works fine, in my book.

yeah right. Queues are fine.
BUT, why is there not even the slightest feedback that you finished researching a new tech. I usually find out by accident, when opening the build-queue and a new object appears. So hard to implement ?! I donīt think so.
General game feedback seems to be "outdated" or something. Just look at Moo3 - they just left out every information. Is this a new trend or what ?!

Hey Warp - that lag-free MP you were talking about with the patch you had - was it this one? Because there are still 1-5 second lags on all of my movements in a 3 player game with no AI on a tiny map and all pings ~100. I thought they were going to eliminate all of the lag problems, but it seems to have been only slightly improved.

Maybe not getting PTW was a good choice after all

Well, I've had less lag than that with a 5 player game including one player at about 400 ping. Obviously, YMMV.

Look in the info panel at the lower right of your screen. It always says what you are researching.
FWIW, Like Fried-Psitalon, I queue up a plan for the entire era whenever I go to the F6 screen. (In MP and SP, it just saves time later if I've got a plan).
