Updated once again.
*Sigh* Work sure does get in the way of my 'Poly time.
BC: Done (for Starcraft).
Muxec: I need a website showing the release date of MilitariZm. Preferrably in English.
Bkeela: Sorry, no half-points. I rounded them down, so you have 2 points spare.

I have 25 unused votes I'd like to apply to Age of Wonders.

I'd just like to point out that Warlords III: Heroes of Erathia/Darklords Rising is a distinct game from Warlords Battlecry I. Both are excellent, but one is a TBS and the other an RTS.

I can understand why new games like Morrowind are excluded - but not why old games like Civ2 SP are not elligible - after all they have stood the Test of Time (unlike ToT)

Don't worry, I'm sure Skanky has an all-time poll up his sleeve.

I'm doing a series of polls over several months. I did from 2001-2002 in the last poll, now the slightly older games. Don't worry though, we will get to Civ 2 soon enough.
The full list is available on the last page of this thread.

Assuming this is still running...
SMAC = 25
SMAX = 20
Warlords Battlecry = 20
Starcraft = 20
Worms Armegeddon = 15
(Apart from SMAC/X this was not the best time for new games, for me.)

My (a bit hasty, perhaps) opinion:
Code:
|
Alpha Centauri = Alpha Centauri + 25
AC: Alien Crossfire = AC: Alien Crossfire + 15
Jagged Alliance II = Jagged Alliance II + 10
Shogun = Shogun + 10
Thief II = Thief II + 10
Hitman I = Hitman I + 5
SM's Gettysburg = SM's Gettysburg + 5
Thief I = Thief I + 5
Age of Empires II = Age of Empires II + 2
Heroes' III = Heroes' III + 2
Settlers III = Settlers III + 2
Sims (, The) = Sims (, The) + 2
SimCity 3000 = Simcity 3000 + 2
Alice (, American McGee's) = Alice (, American McGee's) + 1
RollerCoaster Tycoon = RollerCoaster Tycoon + 1
Worms Armageddon = Worms Armageddon + 1 |
2 points are reserved for future use.

Apologies for the lack of updates currently.
The computer I store the updating files on is currently not connected to the internet and no updates will be able to take place until it is. Alas.
Please continue to vote, and when my 'net connection does actually arrive, all votes will be added.

You know... more games than that were released in 1998... I'm farily certain...
But if Europa Universalis doesnt count for that time- then I'll redelegate my votes to +5 Baldurs Gate, +5 Starcraft, +5 Hollywood Mogul and +5 Rollercoaster Tycoon.

I thought the initial release was '96. But either way you can sneak Civ2 in by voting for Civ2 MGE.

The original release was 1996- but I'm sneaking it into Civ II MP Gold because that version had the scenario/unit editor
-
