You have noticed that all of the protests against Bush have been peaceful. I think that's pretty amazing, given all of the demonstrations all around the world. I don't believe in initiating violence, though I do feel that sometimes you should strike back when hit. That said, I'm not in favor of rioting. I think the most effective way to stop this war from happening is if the American people just stopped cooperating and put their hands in their pockets and refused to work. Even lying down in the street is something.

Funny that. How soon the others forget. And as I said, the US has to do what is best for the US. America has as much of a right to defend itself as any other country.

So it's all meaningless. Just like the rest of the UN.

The US doesn't need UNSC approval to attack Iraq. They can do it any time they feel like it.

I don't see the situation changes better for the US. Canada has floated a compromise resolution that the ten non-permanent members are considering, but the US won't have any of that. Last I heard, Mexico and Chile didn't want a war. France, Russia, and the PRC are set against it. So without counting any unknowns, that's 5 against and 2 for. Then there's Germany, which is showing no signs of wavering.
For the rest:
Guinea - unknown
Pakistan - unlikely to support an invasion
Spain - used to be for, but the people are against it
Syria - unlikely to support an invasion which will upset the power equilibrium in the area
Angolia - unknown
Bulgeria - probably for
Cameroon - unknown
Even if I could all the unknowns and Spain for US support, there is still not enough.

Actually, did any of you watch Gretta van Susteren last night? She had the Iraqi ambassador on who said that Turkey would invade Iraq if it appeared that the territorial integrity of Iraq was coming unglued, meaning independence for the Kurds.
Later analysts said that the likelihood of Turkey seizing key Northern Oil Fields was "high."
WTF does this mean? Do we turn our guns on Turkey when the Iraqi's surrender?

What it means, is that beyond the relatively simple issue of kicking Saddam's ass, there is a huge geopolitical minefield we'll be stepping into the middle of, with most of our ground combat forces committed, and no clear solutions or answers. If we **** up the postwar phase, we could do far more damage to our interests than Saddam ever would.

I shouldn't say anything about politics, since I consider myself Independent, and could vote either party.
I guess there's not much difference in that, and waffling between Communism and Socialism; but hey, it's your country, too.
Freedoms. You have a freedom to be an ungrateful putz all day.
It's all good.
People like Sprayber guarantee that you'll keep that right.

And I'm extremely proud of the fact that I live in a country where people can get out on the street, protest, and call their president a moron or idiot if they so choose. Especially after the year we have all been through.
I wonder if those protestors would fight for other people's rights to do the same in other countries. I see these protests and wonder to myself if they think that the Iraqi people deserve that same right to call their leaders morons and idiots.
Do they?

I ask you, what did Iraq do to the US? If it didn't do anything, what is the US doing there?
So, some of you might counter that Hussein is going to have nuclear weapons and will use it to blow up some US cities. To this I reply, you might as well lock up everybody in the US now, for anybody can be a potential criminal.

Find someone better than Gore or the current democrats and I'll be happy to vote for them.

I predict the election next year will be a landslide for Bush after he liberates Iraq, and the economy recovers thanks to his tax cuts.
