You know. If I were like...some, I'd hit the whine button over that remark.
But see, I realize it doesn't amount to a hill of beans.
Punkass.

Monolith, I think Ming just proved your point. All these years we've been looking at the smileys he puts all over everything, and we finally learned what he really thinks.
Hey Ming, I moved from the east coast to the west coast, what does that make me?

Exactly, but if they did, it wouldn't matter.
Were this thread about Gays or Communists, you can bet your ass old Monolith would be banned.

Piffff. You live in Utah that's a mountain state not the mid-west though Utah has its own host of reasons to be disliked. Utah's a great place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.
BTW the mid-west is boring but there are a TON of hot girls. I don't know what is in the water but damn if I wouldn't want to give it to every girl around here. Sometimes the bored factor works in your favor since it leads to a number of hot girls with nothing better to do on a Friday night then to get drunk & screw. At least that's the way it was like when my army buddies and I went to Kansas and Oklahoma.

There you go, discussion settled.

That would be California's mountains suck if you don't like snow. Personally, I like the snow but mainly that is because I can go play in it for the day then go back to my nice warm beach front town when I'm done.

I don't understand how this thread reached seven pages... How can there be debate?
I spent four years in the midwest, and hated it with a passion. The only way to improve the midwest would be to pave it over and start from scratch.
The only good thing about the midwest is that it made me finish my PhD a year early, just so I could escape the mindnumbing hell-hole that is South Bend, Indiana.
Unfortunately, my girlfriend hasn;t managed to escape yet, so I'm returning periodically. One more year, and I'll be rid of it for good.

Although, I should add: Chicago is not part of the midwest. Try comparing Chicago and Indianapolis, and you'll feel the difference.

They think they are part of the Midwest... see Ming here. Chicagoans believe they are THE city of the Midwest.

Case closed. If CyberGnu thinks the Midwest sucks, then it must be the best place on earth. The man is always wrong...

Ming, Chicago is geographically in the center of the midwest, but it is not a midwestern town.
The feel and culture is completely different.
