WinG load failure. Error: 2
I have no idea what it is, all of a sudden whenever I try to start up civ 2 I get this error. I don't think I altered any game files or anything.

I would reinstall but my cd is too scratched up to be of any use

any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you recently unistalled anything - Civ2 is too old to correctly handle the windows registry and thus the OS does not know that Civ uses WinG

When you uninstall another application that uses WinG - windows might incorrectly deduce that WinG is now redundant and uninstall that as well - this has caught several people out over the years

Try and se if the Wing installer on your CD can be used - if not a Web search will probably locate it...
