Should the world vote on US pres. election?
After all, he is the most powerful pres.
And his decisions affect the lives of people all over the world.
Why can’t the rest of the world have some kind of "voting power" on the final outcome of the US pres. elections?
Give me your thoughts.

I'd take a One World Government based on 1 man 1 vote.
I doubt you'd like it, though.

They already had. Us is the major power around
. . .
I ask: Why dont allow people to vote?
You can go to a US embassy, and declare that you want to became an alien voter. They register you. And that's all.
And Alien votes should be equal to US citizens votes?
Or 10 alien votes = 1 US vote?

I doubt that you want us to have a say in your internal policies.

Why not just call the new country PRC and be done with it?
After all, they easily outnumber Americans and hence have a much greater "voice".

Feel free to send non-voting delegates to our House. We'll take you in then.
Oh, even better idea. Let them vote in Presidential elections, but give the rest of the world only three electors, like DC. They can learn a valuable lesson about American style democracy.

the decisions of kim jong il, leader of nkorea, have major effects on the nations of: skorea, japan, china, russia, and the us.
unfortunately, none of us are privy to electing him.
why should the us be any different?

If you want to vote in US elections, give up your citizenship and become a citizen of the US. Otherwise, we don't care who you want to vote for, it doesn't count or matter

This is an interesting idea. Other than foriegn policy (which would not exist in a one world government), what would you change about how the US does business if you could vote?

I say, if Europe or anyone else wants more say. Europe needs to engage us a little more instead of spelling out opposition to war in a series of grunts only cavemen could understand. How about Chirac come to washington, talk about things. Bring up alternatives, instead of the same old....same old. And lets also stop comparing bush to hitler
I mean..there not giving reasons. There throwing out phrases like "Inspections, not war". And we have only told them Inspections arent working about 10 times, not only that Colin Powell showed them. Yet still....
I guess its easier to remain belligerent than admit that you made a mistake.

Cut military spending, remove that ridiculous Missile Shield, remove corporate welfare, remove farm subsidies, kill off *cough* Homeland Security *cough*, increase NASA funding massively, revamp the patent process, outlaw patenting "intellectual property," remove DMCA, restore copyrights to 15 years, tighten anti-trust laws.

Excellent ideas. With 300 billion in defense funds from the US alone, these ideas could very realistically come to pass. The only modification I would make is:
More opportunity for the poor, not just more money.

UR: In a one world democratic gov't we would not need military spending, missle shields, or homeland security. I do like the NASA idea very much.

Most certainly not.
I wouldn't object to US states seceding and joining the Canadian confederation though. Our parliamentary system is superior to that of the US in every way anyway.

Not really. Only Brian Mulroney came close.
