It gets handed to me
I'm delightful.
I'm consistently being kicked around as a rag doll in my MOO2 hard games these days. Joy! I must have unlearned much lately, since this happens, or it's just my new&improved custom race that is pathetic. Whatever, I'll try and try again until I get the hang of it.
I think I had a good start last game, but my totally unprovoked attack on the mrrshans seems to have been a very bad move.

Enjoy while you can, as it will get easier, and if you are not playing impossible, you soon will be, and small world impossible is really hard for even good players.

What's the makeup of your custom race?

As the Kaptain says, I really don't want suggestions, just enjoy it while I still am getting whipped.
BTW: I'm playing a uni-tele race, which I always rocked the universe with before, as I recall it.

It is really fun when the game surprises you and you have to struggle. When I get too good, I have to change to a different game for a couple of months, then something else and when I come back in 9-12 months I have forgotten enough to make it fun again.

I don't understand you people. Real life is hard enough as it is. When I play a game I don't want to have a headache, I just want to relax.

Yes, I play for fun, but when you play a lot, read these threads and start winning without any difficulty, you miss being challenged, at least part of the time. Most of us then look for special challenges or ways to handicap ourselves to increase our fun and sense of accomplishment when we overcome a difficult game setting or situation. Yes sometimes I play an easy custom race when I feel like it, but other times I play just one planet (minimizes micromanagement) and can still be won with skill and luck. Bottom line is do what is fun for you.

I can understand that.
What I really dispise is when a game cheats, but the vendor makes the usual lame excuse of "giving the players a challenge."

AI cheats are the shortcuts used by weak programing for the AI. After all this time, somebody should have figured out a better AI without the cheats.
Warlord fuedal or fuedal uncreative, haven't tried yet, but sounds like a real challenge.
