How do you find a thread?
For all of you "spammers" that post in allmost every thread, how do you find the thread(s) that you posted previously? Do you put it into favorites, put the URL on paper, Print it up, tell a duck, or something else that you specify?

I put it into my favorites, I've only been doing this recently because of posting in various threads across numerous forums.

I check all the forums I feel like posting in at the moment, select all the threads that have new posts, and then proceed to reply to the ones I can contribute something to.

I don't track where I post.
If in a forum and a new post thread has a little marker saying I posted in it I will be more likely to read it first though.

I usually use the lovely search function here at Poly to find the threads. You know, searching for your own name...

You paranoid that people talk about you behind your back, or are you wanting an ego-trip based on the fact that people talk about you?

No, I search for my own posts, not the posts where I'm mentioned! But, it might be a good idea...

You just go to boards you are interested in and contribute where you can. Or at least that is what I do.
Then a year later I remember a conversation that would be beneficial for a thread involved in now and I search in vain using the search function. I don't find it and I sound like an idiot saying that we had this same conversation a year ago but don't know how to retrieve it. But that just may be me.

My Threads.
(Sometimes manual check, but not often enough to be counted as an "or" )

Sounds like alot of good ideas, Except for the ones that check individually, I find that time consuming and Time is a Virtue.
I think I will check with the "My Thread thingy, and the Search feature to see who talks about me. :hehehe: Thanks for all of the suggestions and other stuff, I however see more posts by different persons than votes,
I still go mainly for the favorites except it doesn't work when on a different comp.

Now that I've memorized the basic form for threads
http://www.apolyton.net/forums/showt...p?s=&threadid=
then I might be able to do the good memory thing.

Black dot tracking. Usually I remember most of the course of a thread, and can mental mark it "return to" or "avoid further involvement".
Of course, on topic (CtP2 especially), I read everything and reply almost everywhere eventually so I don't need to track it specifically.

I like the idea of having the notpad thingy. Or the search one or Favorites.
Thats my recent opinion.

Although I normally read the closed threads even before ones I have already posted in.

The best and easiest way:
Use the control panel: a complete list of all threads you have posted in... can't get any easier...
