Hi all i have some questions
I'm new around here, I got really tired of playing CTP2 with the AI, and was looking for some multiplayer and found this forum. I don't play very well, got the game a little time ago, and i have some questions
With AI, can't you play with random empires? It sucks always fighting the same ppl.
And if anyone here wishes a multiplayer game, get me on ICQ:
look for NC_M07hM4n
See ya

Of course you can play with random civs, that is possible if you raise the difficuilty level (and you complain about the bad AI ). To improve the AIs you could use some mods like GoodMod.

The AI of the default game is not so good you shouldn't have a problem if you raise the difficuilt level in the default game a little bit. For your random civ problem you could also do this: Open the userprofile.txt in your ..\ctp2\program\ctp\ folder with any text editor of your choice e.g. notepad and find the line that contains the word RandomCivs change the Yes there to No and enable the write protection of that file after saving.
You mean DiploMod v. 3.3 from the directory. Well it improves the diplomacy a little bit, but if you want to see a better AI, then I recommend MedPack 2, ApolyonPack, WaW, Cradle and of course GoodMod. All these mods are available in the Apolyton Directory. Except Cradle all these mods have a version of Dipolmod 3.6 included, Cradle uses Diplomod 3.5 but has the option to use Diplomod 3.6.
If you are only interested in MP without AIs then you don't need the mods, but if you want to have a more challenge AI then you need mods.

if yes, can i use a medieval mod with a future one to improve units, techs, etc?

You can chat while in the game yes. Press the ' key to bring up the console, its on the same key as @ (on my keyboard anyway), type a message and press enter.
When stating a time youll be in the lobby make sure you state which timezone that time is in. So if you say 11pm GMT people know to wait around that time, rather than saying just "11pm" they wouldnt wait because it might be wrong.

Try e-mailing a few people in the Multiplayer registery and you'll probably find a couple of people willing to play against you.

Cradle adds a lot of techs/units/improvements in the Ancient/Medieval ages, but you can actually play through the Future age, because it retains the modern/future techs of the default game.
Its just that you will spend a lot of gametime in the Ancient Age.

Welcome M07hM4n,
After having installed the Apolyton Pack, you can install Martin's GoodMod. Modswapper will then display new options that will allow you to play GoodMod with the Super Apolyton Pack 2.
Once modded CtP2 is a wonderful game, believe me!

Bem vindo, amigo conterraneo. Jogue com os mods. Apolyton Pack primeiro e um conserta-tudo. Especialment a AI. Depois va pra outors mods.
Infelizmente, eu nao jogo MP. Se pelo menos houvesse uma opcao para PBEM.
