What about it? In- is just another prefix - like the others - that renders a word opposite to its original meaning: incompetent, inestimable, and so on.

Unavailability. Just as it's inconsequential, not unconsequential. Different words take different prefixes. There are no rules to apply. A bit like irregular verbs. You just have to learn them.
And why aren't you quitting in protest alongside that bloke who quit yesterday?

Well if you weren't speeding you wouldn't have been fined. The speed limit is a set value. Not a wishy washy 5-10% allowance. Dont go over the limit...no problem.

Highly unlikely for me. I had 3 hours sleep and I won't be finished this bloody thing till tonight. I think I might opt for sleep instead.

also, i'd like to raise another grammatical issue - in another thread, i saw malevolent light say that he could count the amount of games that he had lost on a few fingers. that should have been number. quite a few people have trouble distinguishing between countable and uncountable, such as amount vs number and less vs fewer

One of my great bugbears! Less -v- fewer. It's so simple but so many get it wrong!
