Americans have a responsibility to come up with better than Bush. There's really no excuse for being so blasé about it.
May the heavens help our country get through this presidency.

Bush I lost mainly because of the economic slump...
|
Which was actually a year into recovery at the time of election day. Great spin by Clinton though.

I am entirely unsurprised by your assumptions regarding America.

Perhaps I should have said wrongheaded. The statement that Spiffor seems so complimentary of seems foolish in the extreme to me.

If by stupid, you mean:
"marked by or resulting from unreasoned thinking or acting."
It may be true, but not right.

Mr President, what is your opinion about the Rwanda crisis?
Bush 41: It's a tragedy, but America has no interest in Africa!
Clinton 42: Rwanda? I haven't done anything indecent with that woman!
Bush 43: Rwhat? Where? OK, lets nuke!

You can't believe the impatience I had as the page loaded, and finally the dissappointment I felt as it finished too quickly to be loaded with pics.

the thing is Bush sr. was a weak republican president. There was a reason he was voted out of office by an unknown from Arkansas.
What the hell does Bush sr. know about foreign affairs?
Of course Bush jr. is going to lose in 2004 by a landslide. But that is only because most people feel he wasn't supposed to be president in the first place.
