Well it is time to tell you now, that I don't have much time next month as this month , therefore I am not available as President for the next turn.
As I know that Locutus wanted to hold all the positions in the DG game at least once, I nominate Locutus for President. To make the Presidental race more interesting I also nominate mapfi for President, too. On the other hand we also need some war party members for this job, too. So I nominate also Maquiladora (so that he can rename conquered cities ) and Child of Thor for President. Hope one of them accepts the nomination. So we still need a Minister od Diplomacy, Science and Trade.

You will be missed Martin as you have done a very good job during your term.

lets not go through this nominating other people mess again. The court has spoken and only citizens who who post THEMSELVES will be considered in the upcoming elections. is that clear enough this time?

Thanks H Tower. For a second I thought I’d somehow slipped back in time
What happens if nobody is nominated for pres?

My laptop felt a sudden surge to touch ground last time I was carrying it - therefore I'm not really able to play and I don't know yet when I'll get it back. So pres is out of question.
I'd feel like going for judge because I didn't agree with Gilgamensch's way of exercising that position at all, nor his opinions, but I don't want to lock myself 3 months in a judge position again. I hope someone else runs for this one. What happened to all the contestants from past elections - DoT? John?

I expect to get rather busy later this month so I don't know if running for President is such a good idea. MoDST is getting old so I don't think I'll run for that either. I'm tempted to run for either Domestic Affairs or Defense, but I'm not sure yet. Will post my decision tomorrow (I hope those other two positions get filled though ).

So I sayed that these nominations needs conformation by the candidate or the candidate has to nominate himself again. It is not forbitten expressly to suggest people for the office by the constitution. Acceptance of the nomination without the confirmation by the candidate in the nomination thread would be uncostitunional.
Now I could go a little bit deeper into the details, but I felt I shouldn't do it and cut off the rest of this post.

Nominations are over. Election threads will come soon, along with nomination extentions for Minister of Diplomacy, Science, and Trade, plus the position of President.
Martin Guehmann and Locutus will retain their duties until the cession of their election processes, even though the nominations are extended for the aforementioned positions.

D'oh! Stupid timezones. I thought we had until 19:30, but that's New Zealand time Could you please mention the international standard first and backward middle-of-nowhere timezones in brackets next time? Or at least use the abbreviations NZDST (apparently brevity is not a New Zealandic virtue ) and GMT rather than writing them out in full? Contradictory as it may seem, that's actually less confusing...
I guess I'll run for Prez then...
