About our future...
It's time to think about the future, folks. In one month (or less) this game will be finished.
Do we want a new Demo game (well, I want! )? PTW or Civ3, patched 1.29? Parameters, details?
Comments, thoughts, discussions...?
Many questions...

ANOTHER DG!??!!!????
Sure.
DGs are a great way to breathe new life into a game, and Civ3 needs that breath
But really, though, I'm fine with either another DG or not...

It comes with PTW.
Double the Techs.
Double the Units.
Double the Small Wonders.
Double the Great Wonders.
Double the Governments.
Double Your Pleasure.
We could mod it further to have 23 AI civs.

I have the mod, with all graphics and so. It's a challenge, we'll have to develop a new approach to play the game. I'm for it...

A new one, and I don't care if we use PTW or Civ 3 v1.29f. v1.21f is abit out dated, isn't it?
What would you think of this: the Celts.
EDIT: I forgot my name:

How about a game on a lower difficulty level where we aren't so aggressive?

I'm undecided on playing a mod that changes the game too much from the original, but I am in favor of the Apolyton University Mod that makes the AI more aggressive and changes the rules slightly for a far better game experience.
We don't need to add in TOO many other civs. In my experience, lots of civs = lots of weak AI civs to exploit. I've found it more of a challange when I put in less civs with more room so that I end up facing large, powerful AI empires as opposed to little AI nation states.
We should play the PTW version next time, play an unusual civ, and perhaps even include more Roleplay in our civ decisions .... we're probably going to win anyhow, so instead of just going for the win, let's try to "act out" our nation a bit.
We could keep the current Constitution, body of law, and procedure we all know. Would be easier than creating a whole new system. We could also keep the President & Crew from the final term as our President & Crew for the new game and just keep doing elections every month on our current schedule.
I think we should start making polls about this very soon. Where's Trip when you need him?

No matter of what we choose, the new game should contain a major part of roleplay.

I would still like to play a PTW Democracy version where our democracy was 2-3 different civs, and it was all out in the open. Each "team" would simply be a political faction.

I guess, it would certainly allow for alot of roleplay as you could actively work at underminng the other faction(s) while calling them all sorts of names.

I was thinking we should have rules to determine when a player should die off and be replaced by an heir/descendant. If three I was contemplating a Merchant Class, a Military Order, and a Religious Sect.

I'm not against roleplaying, but we should think about to play the game. That "Apolyton University Mod" seems interesting... I would like to know more about it. Time to do some research in the strategic forum...

This sound pretty much like the PTW DG, just in the open a little bit more.
If we were to play three civs, there would be no challange. We would win and we would win quickly.

Then it will be very difficut to choose for me. I'm roleplayer and member of the current DIA.
Say this: let the game develop. Look in the DIA Headquarters thread for more discussion on this topic.

The Double Your Pleasure mod sounds like a good idea...
However, I don't think we need the factions-thing. It sounds like the current PtW-DG without any private forums

Seconded. The German Webring Site does this (2 human civs, rest AI's) and it seems to be a lot of fun.

Those mods are interesting, I've played both. We can think in another project (Double your pleasure mod or Apolyton university), for sure. But I'm interested in play vanilla PTW... Of course, if the forum decides for any other mod, it's fine to me.
