MoDA Communication: State of Lemuria in 2020 BC
Dear Citizens,

Here is the compilation of the various reports sent by the governors of our magnificient cities. I hope the informations you will find here meet your expectations and that they will allow you to vote as a citizen fully aware of the Domestic Affairs of Lemuria.

It is my conviction all matters should not be subject to a poll. IMO, a poll should be held when the Constitution requires it or when there is a lack of consensus on a given issue. Comments are thus welcomed and encouraged in this thread, your comments are the expression of your will and are thus of primary importance.

Note a new thread will be created after each Turn Chat.

Long life to Lemuria!

PS: please, if you don't agree with me about the "poll policy" I have exposed earlier, this thread should not be the place to discuss about it. On the other hand, if you think a matter related to the MoDA should be the object of a poll, this is the place to discuss about it as well as a place to express your opinion.

State and future of Lemuria cities
Overview of our cities:

Green lines indicate objects that should be added to a Build Queue

Pedrunnia (Turns before growth: 5)
Ramajana (17) (9636 Gold)
Chichén Itzà (34)
Pyramids (34)
Hoplite (3)
Archer (3)

Note: Pyramids and Chichén Itzà have been added to the Build Queue to avoid any production loss should another civilization complete the Ramajana before Lemuria. We have received a message stating the Germans were about to complete the said wonder which means we won't have the time to produce it before them without dramatically reducing our military potential that which I am strongly against as we need our units to fight against Austria and end this war as soon as possible.
My vote would go to Chichén Itzà (-30% Criminality) as replacement for Ramajana (1/3 of our food and production and a tenth of our science output are currently lost because of the Criminality plaguing our empire).

Colonia Locuta (Turns before growth: 17)
Archer (2) (602 Gold)
Hoplite (4)
Archer (3)
Hoplite (4)

H Town (Turns before growth: 14) - 1 Entertainer
Archer (3) (1200 Gold)
Hoplite (3)
Archer (3)
Hoplite (3)

Mapfipolis (Turns before growth: 10) - 1 Farmer
Hoplite (2) (505 Gold)
Archer (4)
Hoplite (4)
Archer (4)

Pressburg (Turns before growth: 5)
Settler (12) (3211 Gold)
Hoplite (5)
Archer (4)
Hoplite (5)

Graz (Turns before growth: 6) - 1 Entertainer
Hoplite (3) (1400 Gold)
Archer (3)
Hoplite (3)
Archer (3)

Wels (Turns before Growth: 39) - 1 entertainer
With 1 Farmer Turns before Growth would be reduced to 13
Archer (2) (300 Gold) (4)
Hoplite (7) (10)
Archer (6) (9)
Hoplite (7) (10)

Note: We should add a Farmer in Wels. We would have produced a new military unit that would increase the happiness in the city before the city's growth thus avoiding any riots after the population increase. Note the population increase would allow us to reduce the number of turns required to produce the last two units of the Build queue thus making up the previously lost production turns.

quick question for the MoDA (and kind of the MoD):

We are using in couple of our cities entertainers, is it because Martial law isn't suficient anymore?

For the MoDA, could you (maybe) include the number of military units (Martial Law) in it as well?

Thanks

The citis at west are the main source of units for the Austrian war and with the need to make huge stacks. Like the size 8 and size 12. The unit in those cities are pretty scarce. Still this doesnt meant they are unprotected. Since we block the the passage of Austrian units. And the stacks are a few turns away.

Wels is the most unprotected city with two hoplites and any stacks near enough. I gotta admit that city is quite abadoned. I even thought it was going to be disbanded...

Martial law is at his maximum in H Town and Graz and is indeed not enough, the situation will improve in Wels as we are producing the units that will enforce the public order.

H Town garrison: 3 Hoplites and 2 Archers
Graz garrison: 2 Hoplites and 2 Archers
Wels garrison: 2 Hoplites

Note: sorry for the delay of my answer but I am no more receiving any message to warn me a reply has been posted in a thread I have subscribed to.

Had the same problem, but that was with my outlook

If we reached max ML, maybe we should consider building (forgotten how they are called) drama's(?), instead of using entertainers.

What would be the difference for:
commerce?
# of rounds to build?
taking the entertainer back as a worker?

Thanks

Might help us to understand it a bit better

Sorry for this off-topic "talk" but I would like to know how you solved the problem because I think the problem arose afer a Microzoft update.

Might be interresting for other's as well, so:

for Outlook 2002 (similar for 2000 by the way):

go to:
Tools -> Options (or in 2000 right click on the desktop-icon and choose options)
in options choose mail-setup in there you have an option "Send/receive" (choose this)
You will see your configured accounts (i.e. pop3.yahoo.xxxxx)
At the bottom of the page you will see some options for the accounts: The one, which is the one to change is:

If outlook is online,

schedule an automatic send/receive every XX minutes.

By default it is switched off and you would have to use F5/F9 to update manually.

Since the upgrade I had to change it manually.

Hope it helps some guys here.

And as Tamerlin said, sorry for the off-topic info.
