Con: can you DL the avatars as GIFs? Because if you can, the transparency stays when you save it off the forums as GIF See what I mean?
Yeah, no I'm happy Figu made it, just I don't want to see those filthy capitalists!

Ok before I say anything let me tell you that at my age anyone under 40 is considered a kid. With that being said I am somewhat info age challenged.
I have the standard IE Explorer and it sees those images as a .bmp.
I open them in paint and convert to a .jpg so the forum will recognize the format. (either .gif or .jpg)
So how do I do it? I dont have a clue. And hopefully I dont have to DL a new Browser, arghhhh!
But if that is what I have to do then so be it.
Thanks for helping
PS I dont have a clue what or where a rubles looks like or could be found. I have been trying to find info on the Politburo and it seems like it really isnt a Cabinet like the USA has but more like the chosen few party members who may or may not have a specific job.
But that can make our Politburo easy to configure: (Your a member now debate on what we should do.)

here's the zip file with all of the .gifs in them, plus several extra, including partisans, winter Naval Trooper, Winter NKVD, winter Red Guards, winter Red Army, laborer, and labor brigade. The transparency should work for all of them. hopefully i'll have some time to go fix the transparencies on the other units that were posted here in this thread.
EDIT: using ie, my computer thought the avatars in FMK's post were bmps, but with mozilla the avatars were gifs... go figure

Guys can someone help? I liked the avatar FiGu did for the Arms minister. I saved it as a .gif after I downloaded it (I cant remember what format is was in) but I converted it to a .gif with Paint and changed my avatar and I still get the white background? What did I do wrong?
And remember please be kind us old folks are info age challenged!

You need to remove the white again. IE make it transparent it can be done in most gfx editors. If you got a better browser this wouldn't be a problem...
I'll do it and zip the gif for you so that you can use it if you want me to this time though...
