OFFICIAL: Our near future PW settings
With the technique of building roads we can consider to build roads, but without PW, we can't build roads, so we should consider to raise our PW tax settings in the next turns once the Chichen Itza is finished and some turns passed so that we could rebuild our army.
Vote for 0% PW Tax Rate if you think we should not raise our PW Tax in the next tuns.
Vote for 10% PW Tax Rate if you thing we should raise our PW setting to 10% permernently.
Vote for 20% PW Tax Rate if you thing we should raise our PW setting to 20% permernently.
Vote for 30% PW Tax Rate if you thing we should raise our PW setting to 30% permernently.
Vote for 40% PW Tax Rate if you thing we should raise our PW setting to 40% permernently.
Vote for 100% PW Tax rate for 1 turn if you think we should raise our PW Tax rate to 100% for one turns.
Vote for 100% PW Tax rate for 2 turns if you think we should raise our PW Tax rate to 100% for two turns.
Vote Abstain if you have no idea for what to vote.
This poll is open for three days. And is closed on 18-03-2003 23:24 GMT.

If you want a national road network, we need at least 20%. But this is still going to take 5 turns to raise as much as 100% would in 1 turn. When the wonder is finished, we may find it prudent to take a 1-turn 100% PW hit and complete some much needed infrastructural improvements.

i vote for 10% PW rate
the road network is important but the constant flow of troops is also important, but I do like IW's idea of going for 100% for one turn after the wonder is done.

Once the wonder is done 100% is good but for now No. I keep with my 10% but i am ok with 20%. We are not defenseless at all. Just i am afraid of wonders and buildings

I'm cool with either 10 or 20. So I abstain from the vote.

100% hit for 1 turn sounds good to me.

10 or 20 % will bring nothing, either we are going to build things (city improvements, wonders, units) or ... well other things with a pw rate as high as we can get without loosing the possibility to maintain our troops. abstain

Setting PW at 100% might be a bad idea: that gives us a negative production and thus my lead to the disbanding of armies, etc. 80% is save though (90% leaves us with an overall production of -3, so that could still be considered as well). 1 round at 100% would give us a little over 600 PW per turn, enough for the road network I proposed earlier. 80% gives us a little over 500 PW per turn. I would favour setting PW to 80 or 90% for 2-3 turns: enough to build a limited roadnetwork and a handfull (2-5) of farms/mines, enough for the near future.
I voted for 100% for 2 turns as that's the closest to what I just proposed.

I agree with IW though Locutus is right, I will thus vote for 100% for two turns where I would have preferred 80 % for two turns.

Are we resolved to take 80% for two turns and a base rate of 20% afterwards? Or do we need another poll?

I´m against a continuing level above 0% as long as we are at war. After that it might as well be higher than 20%.
