Dictators II Pbem
As dictators II is out i would like to start a new PBEM.
The civs are:
Germans, Japanese, Americans, British, Eastern allies, Neutrals, Russians.
They are not in their turn order.I will complete that info on friday.
I warn all who are interested that i can only play my turn on weekends(and fridays). So this will not be a turn per day game.
I'd prefer for myself either the Germans or Japanese, but i am not against playing as other civs.

Curt, you just signed as a player in your own game!
Can you post the turn sequence?
And BTW you did not have to include me in the credits.
Not that i mind though. It is just that i think my contribution was not worthy of a credit reference. My full name by the way is Pericles Dervisis.(for future credit references )
Thanks for that.
I repeat that i will only be able to play my turns on fridays and weekends.

Actually i had set my eyes on the Germans too, but if interest is high i will take the Japs.
BTW curt, is there a special open PBEM version with all negotiations allowed?
If so post a link here if possible, thanks.

Hmm.... way too much interest for the Germans i am afraid.
Anyway here is a selection i propose based primarily on player's priorities and then on post time.
Japs-Palaiologos
Germans-Cifer almasy
Americans-jim panse
Russians-Figu
Since Curt is willing to take the brits or eastern allies except the germans i have chosen to give the Germans to Cifer.
Now i would say that Pap gets the brits and curt the eastern allies. The neutrals of course will be controlled by the AI.
What do you say?

1.Germany:
2.Neutrals:AI
3.USA:Stephan
4.UK:
5.Eastern allies:
6.Soviets:FiGu
7.Japan:Pericles Dervisis
This is the turn sequence with the only players that will surely get their civ as they were the only ones expressing interest.
if everybody agrees to my proposal(post above) just say so and i will edit the list.

Of course civ selection based on post time would mean that Curt gets the brits and Pap the eastern allies.
Depends on what Curt and Pap want i suppose.
what do they say?

I'll take the Brits if no one else has.
Pericles, out of all of us, you deserve the most credit.

Another player!
Xenozod, thank you for your kind words, but i am terribly sorry. It seems there are not any other civilizations left.
There are six players already:Me, FiGU, Pap, Curt, Jim, Cifer.
The neutral civ is not meant to be played.
But if curt doesn't answer soon you will get his place.

If I am included in the PBEM, then I must warn you that I, too, will only be able to play on weekends.

BUMP indeed.
I had sent a PM to Curt five days ago, and just sent him an e-mail.
If he does not answer by the end of the weekend Xenozod gets his place controlling either the Brits or the eastern allies to be decided in accordance with Pap.
Just to get things going i say Cifer posts his turn.
He is getting the Germans no matter what.
Turn sequence:
1.Germany:Cifer
2.Neutrals:AI
3.USA:Stephan
4.UK:
5.Eastern allies:
6.Soviets:FiGu
7.Japan:Me

Be sure you have the Microsoft gold edition(MGE) of civilization 2.
Sequence:
Select:
Multiplayer
Network Game
TCP/IP
Begin Scenario
Then choose the correct .scn file from your directory
Then choose the Deity level
Check Open game
Choose unlimited time
Network name -does not matter
Game name- does not matter
Start game
Choose your Civ
Your gender
Your name
When you save make sure at least one unit is still "blinking". Im other words one unit HAS to have movement left and is unfortified. Then press CTRL-N, that will end your turn and zero out any movement for any unit including the fortified ones. That prevents the AI from unfortifying and moving your units all over the place.
After CTRL-N save the turn, then post it here with a description of what you did that turn.
BTW, i advise against cheating.

I will be making a open version in the future, but this version will be OK, I think!
