Go to the Market screen (3rd button of the 4 IIRC). Click on "manage convoys" just below "Trade on World market" --> Add new convoy --> click on starting point --> click on end point --> adjust goods carried and number of ships and escorts making up your convoy by going back one screen. Voila.
(I think thats mostly right - Been playing too much EU2 lately )

Yep, thats right. Keep in mind that convoys are only one-way. Don't send your commodities to Sri Lanka, and don't take supplies away from your Egypt garrison.

Anyone ever successfully chain conveys?
ie: 20 ships singapore- india
40 ships india- freetown
20 ships port of spain -freetown
70 ships freetown - plymouth

Never seems to work right for me.

I've managed to get it to work shipping from Singapore-Bombay, Kuwait-Bombay, ... and Bombay-Plymouth (I think it was Bombay - the India supply point anyway) but ended up coming to the conclusion that it was a waste of transports anyway due to the fact that there were so many resources that I was always using far more than the minimum number of ships required for each route.
