Multiplayer trouble
Everytime I attempt to start a multiplayer game w/ my friend, it connects perfectly, but when we start playing there is so much lag (delay when moving units, changing turns, etc), we have to dissconnect.

We connect via TCP/IP direct connection.

Both our systems are above the recommended requirments and we are both using cable connections. There should be no reason for lag.

Anyone have a solution?

distance - Washington DC - New York

firewall - yes, on one end, but do not hav authority to open ports, could be the problem

we tried it on all size maps, with and w/o AI civs
