Do you have the patch for Morpheus?
Piranha Interactive Publishing released the game Morpheus in 1998. I have bought the game and want to patch it. The problem is that I cannot find a site that has the actual file; all sites link to the publisher's site, which is dead.
Does anyone have the file? I think the name is Morpheus101.exe or something similar.
Thanks,
Carolus

Morpheus was a Myst-style game from a few years back. A very good clone.
I spent almost two hours over the last two day looking for a patch, but no luck. I don't think I've ever seen a publisher and developer disappear so completely.
I'll keep my eyes open, as my cousin has the game and I wouldn't mind playing it again if I found a patch.
I can't remember needing a patch though, does anybody know what it updates?

Static23,
I play unpatched and I have not encountered any problems thus far, but I always like to have the latest update installed.
Before posting this topic, I also looked around the Net. I found two sites, but unfortunately they linked to the publisher's site, which is history.

I've searched a bit for a patch, Carolus, and I found several sites, also outside the developer's/publisher's sites, but unfortunately thay are all dead links. I think it's not possible to get it if you can't find a person who has it at his/her computer. Good luck, though!

After checking a few review sites, it seems whatever problems there may be are technical and not game related. If you have a problem, you might check out the link below.

3. A few technical problems, one of which nearly caused me to give up before I even started playing! First off, you have to manually set your screen resolution to 640x480, and your colour depth to High Colour (16-bit) before you play. I would have thought these settings could be re-programmed on the fly. Then, Morpheus can't remember where you put your saved games, so each time you start up, you have to manually point it at the folder you selected when you saved the very first game. Also, each time you start up Morpheus, you must have CD 1 (of 3) in the drive. And finally ... I can't believe no one else has ever seen this, and I still got no answer back to my carefully crafted email directed at Piranha tech support. Like I said, it nearly caused me to give up before I even started, because on the left-hand side below is what Morpheus looked like to me the very first time I loaded it up.
