Gameplay control
A question I lodged on the site but am not sure if it will recieve an answer... but does this game have a more controllable set up as your nation develops, or are the relatively random issues you decide on the full extent of player activity?
For instance, are nations able to start wars at any time?
Can specific trade ties be established whenever you choose?
and countless others... anyone?

There is no in-game interaction between countries in NS. It's all RP.

Yes, that is slightly annoying. If you are thinking about wars without any issues you might try Earth:2025 or Utopia... accessable from swirve.com
And frankly it is true, I am starting to get a little bit bored with the game myself.

Someone enthusiastic about developing and programming it might want to suggest to the owner that they extend the games functions to make even a crude PvP possible
I do believe that would make for a tremendous boost in popularity. Considering the workload, it would even be cool if one major option at a time were added... doesn't have to be a packadge all at once.

Hmm.. Idon't know if the owner wants the popularity- at elast if the people don't buy his book- the idea behind the site was merely to create a little internet diversion. Now, if someone programemd the data for him, I'm sure he/she would upload it- but I doubt that Max would take the time to do it himself.
It would be neat if a game could combine the simplicity of Nationstates politics with the simplicity of Earth:2025's wars!
