As I said earlier, the current problem I see in islam is that the clergy has for some reason assumed that some 13th century man somehow already figured everything Mohemmed had to say..why?

The Q'uran is the word of God (like the Bible or Torah..I lelave it to fundies to fight it out), revealed to Mohammed by an Angel (Micheal or Gabriel, which one?)and then written down. Would it not be an act of idoletrous hubris to think a bunch of scholars, no matter how learned, to think they already figured it out? And what about also looking at the works of God, and not only the word?
