1st Turn Thread (From Turn 118 in the year 1640BC)
Welcome to the 1st turn thread of our Great Nation Lemuria:

Day: 22/03/2003 (Saturday)

How should this turn thread work. First detailed orders by the ministers must be given, otherwise this turn thread will fail. That means all the detailes have to be discussed in the forum before. The idea is to play a turn and to record all the events happening during the turn. Like what did the other civilisations, the message log, our moves, why were the moves done, the build queues modifications, the diplomacy, our infrastructure, and so on. Once the turn is played all the information is posted, if there is enough information for a new post before, then it is posted before the turn is finished. The idea of this concept of playing the game is to save time, as some people noticed that turn chats are boring, in the thread Locutus opened asking why so few people attending to turn chats, and present the information in a more compact way as it could be possible by posting the chat transscript. Of course you can post as well in this thread and use it for as a place for discussion as well. This turn thread should also contain screenshots. So please give orders at least for eight turns.

For the time I can be more flexible here, so I could start at 16:00 or 17:00 GMT or later, that depends on the fact if all the orders are there. So again if this should work I need detailed orders. Otherwise I have to schedule a turn chat on Sunday the 23rd 2003 at 18:00 GMT.

Old Turn Chats:

First Lemuria Chat Now!!!
Game Chat for turns 3860 +
Game Chat (turns 3720 +)

Game Chat (Turns 3420 +)

Game chat (2760 BC +)
Game Chat (2720 +)
9th Turn Chat (From Turn 72 in the year 2560BC)
10th Turn Chat (From Turn 78 in the year 2440BC)
11th Turn Chat (From Turn 85 in the year 2300BC)
12th Turn Chat (From Turn 89 in the year 2220BC)
13th Turn Chat (From Turn 93 in the year 2140BC)
14th Turn Chat (From Turn 99 in the year 2020BC)
15th Turn Chat (From Turn 107 in the year 1860BC)
16th Turn Chat (From Turn 112 in the year 1760BC)

Looks like I have to recount the turn chats, well better we start counting at zero.

##############################################
##############################################

Questions to the member of government in order to collect the necessary orders:

This time I need detailed orders otherwise the whole idea does not work.

##############################################

Questions to the President (Martin Gühmann):

Q1: How will you name our cities?
A1: Same answer as last turn chat:

The next new city we found or get by a ruin will be named Wombatoon.
The following city we found or get by a ruin will be named Maquidad.

Q2: Will we change the PW rate?
A2: For one turn raise it as high as possible and and set it afterwards back to 0. So far it looks like we can go for 80% maybe also another turn.

Q3: Will we change the slider settings?
A3: Just in case of riots in one of our cities which would probably continue in the next turn. In that case more food is given to the people to stop the riots. Currently more 4kg food per turn is given to the people, we could lower it if we can improve the happiness situation.

Q4 Will we spend any gold?
A4 Possible as we now have finished the Chichen Itza, so gold can be spend on diplomacy and on units.

##############################################

Questions to the Minister of Domestic Affairs (Tamerlin):

Q5: What will the next three items for the build queues of all of our cities?

a) Pedrunnia
b) Colonia Locuta
c) H Town
d) mapfipolis
e) Pressburg
f) Graz
g) Wels
h) Linz

I think we should use the build queue feature in order to reduce the workload. We can modify the build queues later if necessary, anyway.

A5: ???

Q6: Will we change the specialist distribution in any city? If yes in which city and how?
A6: ???

Q7: Currently we have 2 settlers in the field what are the sites for new cities?
A7: ???

##############################################

Questions to the Minister of Infrastruture (Immportal Wombat):

Q8: Wher will we build our roads, farms, trading post and mines?
A8: ???

##############################################

Questions to the Minister of Diplomacy, Trade and Science (Locutus):

Q10: What will be our attitude towards these civilisations, if we send them a proposal?

a) Austria
b) England
c) Scottland
d) Germany
e) Thailand
f) Celtic Empire
g) India
h) Israel

A10: Meek, the tone in the middle of the buttons.

Q11: To which of these civilisations mentioned above we should send a proposal, if any?
A11: ???

Q12: What is our research goal after Monarchy?
A12: ???

Q13: Ehat is the alternative research goal if the first advance is not researchable?
A13: ???

Q14: In case of a cease fire offer by the Austrians, should we accept or reject?
A14: According to the outcome of the according poll, we should reject.

##############################################

Questions to the Minister of Defense (Pedrunn):

Q15: What are Bait's next moves? How will we follow the withdraw treaty with the Celts?
A15: ???

Q16: What are Goodsight's next moves?
A16: ???

Q17: Will you name our armies? If yes how, and which army?
A17: ???

Q18: Which Austrian city should we attack next, if any in the near future?
A18: ???

Q19: How will we protect mapfipolis?
A19: ???

Q20: How do we rebuild our armies to attack Austria?
A20: ???

Q21: Should we expell German settlers?
Q21: ???

##############################################

Questions to All Citizens:

Q22: Who wants to help me with the screenshots and game info? (Needs to be someone with CTP2 and some basic knowlegde and resources to graphic editing.)
A22: ???

Q23: Is there anything I forgot to ask for there?
A23: ???

Re: 1st Turn Thread (From Turn 118 in the year 1640BC)
I like the concept but it must faster the game and not slow it down. So dont set a date. Set a date per turn. All minister have to give the order until a certain day so that you can play along
Thats just a suggestion though. It is like a turn chat but you only play one turn at time but in smaller time periods. But i guess this kills the

Quote:
Q15: What are Bait's next moves? How will we follow the withdraw treaty with the Celts?
A15: move Bait around the Germans borders at west until reaching Austrian city of Brunn. Correct if i am wrong: W, SW, W, W, SW, W, SW, SW, S, W, SW...
In case of a Germans starting war send Bait into German territory and start lookng at the german cities for the nearest city until Nuremberg.

Quote:
Q16: What are Goodsight's next moves?
A16: Always west until that barb chaser go away. Or we travel around the world

Quote:
Q17: Will you name our armies? If yes how, and which army?
A17: Call the archer near Pedrunnia of 'PedPost'. and others according to the plans i give you.

Quote:
Q18: Which Austrian city should we attack next, if any in the near future?
A18: Troppau. But the main target is Wien. Troppau will come first since will take a long time since we join a good attack force to conquer it

Quote:
Q19: How will we protect mapfipolis?
A19: Move 5 units from Pedrunnia (3H, 2A) until CL. Call it SmallOne. On the way expel the German Settler. In CL add 1H and 2A to the stack and sendi to be two turns away from mapfipolis in the grassland.

Quote:
Q20: How do we rebuild our armies to attack Austria?
A20: We will move 'PostWarrior' east away from Austrian stack but always keeping an eye in it. If the Austrian stack makes move that may mean a attack in Pedrunnia or in the new city. Move Lins (6 units) and Graz (6 units) Troups to those cities.
We will attack Troppau, so Move an archer and a hoplite from Wels to S, S SW, SW, W, W. And the 5 units from H Town N, NW, NW, grouping with 3 units from Pressburg and moving NW. Where shall meet with the Wels stack. And send it to conquer Troppau. If the city isnt size two yet. Make a quick poll to decide if either or attack or to move south to launch an attack to Wien. In case of a German War. Move them North. In case of we loosing the city of mapfipolis move the to mapfipolis.

Quote:
Q21: Should we expell German settlers?
Q21:
yes. As i said in the A19.

Quote:
Q22: Who wants to help me with the screenshots and game info? (Needs to be someone with CTP2 and some basic knowlegde and resources to graphic editing.)
A22: If i show up i can help you. But dont be so excited. I am not sure i wiill be there

If I give map co-ordinate locations is this ok? It saves me time describing it all. But I think it means opening the cheat menu...

If not, I'll give descriptions...

Probably pic would be the better. I love them. You should create a discussion thread IW. Like the Ministery of Defense and the MoDA Communication that is around.
And in your case it doesnt have to be always re-created like the two mentioned.

The problem with setting a date per turn is that the week has only 7 days, in two chats we can play something between 12 and 16 turns that is more. And I want to play some more during this turn thread, therefore I asked for orders for 8 turns.

As Pedrunn said maps are better, and I won't open the cheat editor just to see the coordinates, otherwise I could look for other stuff and disable the pollution setting by accident. Here are examples:

Well I did not determined exactly. But it starts soon.

Well I thought I should wait for Locutus' orders, but I will asume that the orders he gave last turn chat are still valid, Ben's orders must also be determined but I think the road is clear and can be considered as an order.

And here is the overall rankings:

Tamerlin's orders
Here are my orders:

1 - Settlers #1 and #2 should found two cities according to the results of the current polls.

2 - If you approve: Rush Buy the City Walls in Mapfipolis

3 - In Mapfipolis: If the Germans does not attack but still stay around our city, the Archer after the City Walls should be replaced by Ballista Towers and you might consider Rush Buying the said Ballista Towers.

If the German army leaves the area around Mapfipolis, the Build Queue should not change.

OK, here is the last image of the rankings - the military rankings. The next thing I do is to change the build queues and continue the game, so the game is now played.

Turn 118 Year 1640BC Part 1
1. The build queues of all of our cities were extended according Tamerlin's orders.
2. Goodsight was moved one tile West.
3. Archer near Pedrunnia (NW, NW of Pedrunnia) is called PedPost from now on.
4. Bait was moved West. That revealed an English settler.
5. PW was raised for one turn.
6. PostWarrior was moved East.
7. One Archer from Pedrunnia was East. Another four units should follow. Unfortunatly we can't expell the settler this turn and I am afraid, that it will escape as it ignores ZOC. Well Pedrunn as you are online what do you think about it?

Tamerlin you are also online what do you think about settling between Pedrunnia and Linz even the resolution poll is not closed, yet?

Turn 118 Year 1640BC Part 2
8. GrazPost was moved one tile SW. And waits for the next turn.
9. The Archer East of Pedrunnia was moved one East again and also the other five units. So far it seems we have to let the German settler go.
10. The city Wombatoon was found between Linz and Pedrunnia.
11. The city Wombatoon got an alternative build queue like all of the others of our cities. Starting with a hoplite.
12. The East settler was moved one SouthWest.

END OF TURN 118

You should start moving units for the attack in Troppau. The intent was to move now. But if you already ended the turn doesnt matter. Can be interesting to see the Austrian and Germans moves first.

If he actually scapes we cant do much. But if you got the chance to expel it, do so! I will think in other ways to intercept him. Otherwise we may have to let him go...

Suggestion... try to give wider screens. Like the ones i did in the Ministery of Defense. The more map ncluded the better

Sorry Martin I could not answer your question about the Settlement between Linz and Pedrunnia as I was in the off-topic part of the forum.

Wombatoon's place is the best one and in accordance with the will of the citizens...

The warrior was on an exploration mission so you did not say anything about it so I continued, the intention is to get a look on Pilsen, so next turn one move along on the river and then back. And then one back again and fortify.

The problem with the second settler is that there is not really a good site available. There are currently 2 voices against 7 in favor of the tile NW of the potatoe so this tile should not be settled.
Some citizens have expressed their opinion in favor of settling the potatoe site itself though it is too close from the Indian border.
This is typically the kind of decisions I would have like to discuss during a Turn Chat.
As this is not possible I would order to settle the potatoe site.

I totally forgot about him!!! Really, thanks for moving him. And yes keep going slowly. I still feel guilty for the death of that archer unit

Turn 119 Year 1620BC
12. New Hopelite in Wels was grouped into the defenders.
13. Post Warrior was moved one South to have an distace of one to the Austrian stack and to keep an eye on it.
14. Bait was moved SouthWest.
15. The Western Settler was moved one South, so it is now one North of the potatoe.
16. Goodsight was moved one NorthWest as the Barbarian is far awway enough. I thing he shouldn't continue, the way West as we have the Austrian border her, but I think he should enter Austrian territory so tah we can get to know what city is there.
17. 100 Gold was given to England to compensate the regard loss because of Bait in their territory.
18. The English city Birmingham was conquered by the Hebrews.

Attaching the saved game would also be a great help. Probably doing every end turn would be the best

It is a turn thread not a turn chat, Ben. Therefore I needed your orders before in detail. So what are our next tile improvements we have now 1056 PW available.

8. Units from H Town are now in Pressburg and added two Hopelites and one Archer to that stack.
9. A Celtic settler near West of Wels was expelled.
10. Bait was moved one tile West.
11. The units from Pedrunnia, that are currently in Colonia Locuta, were send two times SouthWest and grouped with the Archer there and fortified. Unfortunatly is the English settler out of range so that we won't catch him.
12. One Entertainer was added to Colonia Locuta in order to solve the problem of the martial law lost.
13. For exploration GrazPost was send one North.
14. PostWarrior was moved one South.

Good! Keep sending Grazpost to explore the area surrounding Pilsen. And Postwarrior should heal in Linz. But not now. Send him south and them to Linz. I fear an attack from Austria in Wombatoon in case the Austrian stack once postwarrior is inside Linz. So the more south it goes the better.

Turn 121 Year 1580BC Part 1
1. New units in Pedrunnia Graz and Linz were grouped into the defenders of these cities.
2. Barbrians are now around Graz, H Town and Pressburg. So Pedrunn should we delay our movement to Troppau now and kill with the size two stack first the Barbrian catapult?
3. Should we kill the mounted archer with an stack of 2 Arch and 2 hopelites from Graz?
