It is a turn thread not a turn chat, Ben. Therefore I needed your orders before in detail. So what are our next tile improvements we have now 1056 PW available.
|
Yeah I know, but I was only elected when you started the thread and had two days to scramble everything. Plus the chat is more immediate.

4. Moved PostWarrior one tile South.
5. PostGraz was moved one tile NorthWest, to explore the Austrian territory further.
6. Moved GoodSight one West.
7. Bait was moved one West into English territory, we already pissed them of, so why bother with them.
8. The city Maquidat was settled on the potatoe tile near the Indian border.
9. Attacked the Barbrian Catapult, the Hopelite was heavily damaged but survived.
10. Keeoing the units in H Town, the size two stack should be moved to Pressburg, or should we use some units from Pressburg instaed of the Barbrian killers?

Yeah I must admit the chat is something that this turn thread does not has and putting everything down is also a little bit tideous. So actual we should think about how we can make the turn chats better.

Well I will put it SouthWest of Pedrunnia as you draw it in your screenshot.
11. Farm build SW of Pedrunnia.
12. 2 Archers and 2 Hopelites were moved from Graz NorthWest and North to give the Brabs something to think about.
13. Set the remaining units in Pressburg on wait, as I don't want to leave the city empty for one turn. Next turn the ten units there should move to Troppau.
14. Germans are still in front of Graz, same behaviour and the beginning of their turn retreat and then at they end of their turn retreat from the retreat.
15. Changed city name from Maquidat to Maquidad.
END OF TURN 121

Turn 122 Year 1560 Part 1
1. The Germans have nearly completed the Hagia Sophia.
2. We have now a roadnetwork, well it is still a little bit small, but we have now our first parts.
3. H Town completed an Archer.
4. Pressburg completed a Hopelite.
5. The Barbarian Mounted Archer near Graz was killed by our Barbarian size four Barbarian execution force.
6. A size 10 stack of 5 Hopelites and 5 Archers were fromed in Pressburg and sent to Troppau.
7. Bait was moved SouthWest.
8. Now we have the Austrains around Linz, Pedrunn I think the best is to kill them now with the troops inside of Linz.

9. GrazPost was moved NorthWest, actual we should rename him as he is far away from Linz, and I just name him like this as he was the only warrior that was missing in Pedrunn's plans.
10. Goodsight was moved one West and discovered the city Wiener Neustadt, what a long name and unphantasyfull as well, we should rename this city when we conquere it.
11. I did a decission here and removed the threat around Linz, I took the 11 units in the city and attacked the Austrian size 8 stack, 5 Archers survived and 1 Hopelite survived.
12. PostWarrior was moved into Linz.
13. To each Linz and Maquidad one Entertainer was added, to raise the happiness level in both cities from 71 to 73.
14. Build quque in Linz was changed and now contains 4 Hopelites to compensate the loss from the Austrian killing.
15. Ballista Towers were inserted to the build queue of mapfipolis, as the Germans are still in fron of mapfipolis.
END OF TURN 122

Turn 123 Year 1540BC Part 1
1. The stack from Pressburg to Troppau moved one square NorthWest. Troppau is still a size one city.
2. The Barbrain killer stack from Graz was moved to H Town and was grouped into the defenders there, as we have now 9 units in Graz, is there no more space anymore.
3. That increased the martial law in H Town so that one entertainer was not necessary any more and was removed.
4. New Archers in Pedrunnia nd in Colonia Locuta were grouped into the defenders there.
5. A new Hopelite in Graz was grouped into the defenders there.
6. Units near Linz were moved back into the city.
7. One entertainer was removed as the martial law there is now high enough.

Turn 123 Year 1540BC Part 2
8. PostGraz was moved one tile West.
9. Goodsight was moved one tile SouthWest.
10. Bait was moved one tile NorthWest as one tile West an English settler is, we shouldn't make the Germans angry better, make the English angry as they are already angry.
11. Gold was given to Israel and India to make them more happy so that we could get some stuff from them.
END OF TURN 123

3. We discovered Monarchy, and switched temprary to Slave Labor.
4. New government Monarchy was inacted, otherwise it doesn't make sense to rush for Monarchy.
5. All sliders were maxed out again.

Year turn chats have something that this turn thread does not have, we played may turns, but it lacks the feeling of playing a game together. And I don't think that we can really accelerate the turn chat much, the game is getting more and more complex and not the way around. I saw a minimum of 8 or 7 events in one turn, well that is a short turn then but the events should all be discussed at least mentioned, such a turn with 15 or 18 events needs of course longer. And everything that happens in a turn chat should be discussed, otherwise I don't need to hold turn chats. The advantages of a turn thread I see is that the events are presented clearly. You see what really happened. Of course the number of played turns. And the many screen shots.

I agree with you Martin, the Turn Thread definitely lacks something the Turn Chat has... having fun together. I think I would lost some interest, if not all, in the DG if the game was played this way.
Moreover, the number of turns played are roughly equivalent.
