I've played numbers two and four. At least I think they were numbers two and four. They were fun and kind of cute, but I found them hard as well.

I remember Keen. It was one of the first games I played too, if not the first. I liked all of them past 1-3; I did complete 1 and 2, though. Never could win 3 without cheats...

Actually, it looks like they're still trying to make a profit off of it; those are only the two sharewared episodes (1 and 4).

4 and 5 were both my favourites.
In one (or perhaps both) of them, there were signs written in "another language" which was basically symbols substituted for English letters. These signs around the place helped you in the mission and were a nice touch.
Ahhhh, nostalgia.

Probably the best (ie: most original) moment of Doom 2...I can't believe I paid full price for it some years back.
The tiny little bit of shareware Keen (1/2/3?) I was exposed to was decent enough back then though...

I remember Commander Keen. Played through 4, 5 and 6 a few years back just for the nostalgia. Great games, great memories.... *curses evil mushroom*

in the spirit of some of those trips down memory lane, i had the shareware version (#1) but didn't know any of the commands. One of the last commands I i learned was how to do was fire the gun I made it half way through episode 1 without firing a shot or losing a life (and getting 1-2 extras lives if i remember right) before figured it out. Made completing #1 pretty easy I have #4 somewhere, don't remember if i finished that one or not

Secrets of the Oracle (That's Keen IV) isn't too difficult, just that some of the locations are rather time consuming. It took me the better part of a week to beat every level (I'm a death-a-holic in such games so you should be able to do it much faster)

Its too easy with those **** sky pests, fire-ball throwing guys, the insane crabs and the unkillable mushrroms. And the pogo (which is highly useful too)

I only had the 'ol Shareware version that my parents got free with their 386 back in 1995. It may of been the first one. But what happened to shareware?

I remember Commander Keen...very vaugely. It was loaded on my parent's DOS/Windows 3.11 computer, and I used to play it a lot. I only had episode one of the "Invasion of the Vorticans" series.
I once got all four parts, but I don't remember the score so well. The blue jackal used to scare the hell out of me and it still does. I was trying to this one level and the jacakal is jumping around deranged and I kept on getting killed.

Keen 1 was the first platform game I played I think. It was great.
Then we got Keen 4. And that was better.
wahay, that 3Drealms site has Wacky Wheels.
