As the spectacle ends, we see Saddam in tears, and then he moves on.

I saw that on the History Channel a while back, it was pretty frightening. This guy's got Stalin written all over him.
I also heard that one of the persons during that "incident" asked that his body be returned to his family, they complied - in little pieces.

His "rape women, bite people's ears off" policies seem more and more appropritae the closer his fists come to one's face.

Actually, thinking about it, if Lewis punches his lights out you lot might be saluting the queen and singing "Rule Britannia" again.

Even he's more intelligent than the current one.

I don't know, I just can't help thinking that the US president threatening to eat Saddams children might have a negative effect on world support ...

Not that the current US approach is working well, mind you.

Latest update in the Dixie Chicks saga... after sales for their new CD fell by over 40% thanks to anti war comments... They told London fans today that the anti war and anti Bush comments were MEANT AS A JOKE.
No one seems to be taking these comments very seriously... many stations still won't play their songs.
(if they really were meant as a joke, why did you already apologize for them, and just not say they were a joke earlier)

Amazingly enough, I score a perfect 100% already, and will likely never listen nor watch the stuff on MarkG's list in the future. Who knew this boycotting stuff could be so easy?

Yes, I heard about this Dixie Chicks deal. Nothing like some ol' fashioned American Blackballing. Almost makes you misty eyed for the 50's, doesn't it?

I'm not 100% in support of this war and the way it unfolded, so I must love Saddam more than my own mother.

I saw this over at my boss' house. I threw away my television 6 years ago. They showed the radio stations having public burnings of the albums and such, calling for people to bring theirs down to fan the flames. Funniest thing is, the yokles that actually did this, will no doubt forget about this, and go back to their Seinfeld ridden, fat-dumb-and-happy, tell-me-what-to-think realities in a few years. They'll miss the album and go out and buy it again.
Dixie Chicks double album sales.
