Great, i'll take Morgan then.
How many players would you suggest?
You have a map and rules configuration suggestion too?
I'm new here, i dunno how you guys usually play.
I guess we'll be needing a keeper of passwords too, incase someone vanishes.

I'll play, I'll take Sparta.
I think 3 to 4 players is the norm.

Since this is a pbem game, I think that small is a good size (maybe standard is good too, lets decide).
The other options may be the "default", but I personally prefer the native life form on "rare".

Small map, don't mind the settings but I'd like heavy rainfall. Directed research and Do or die for rules.
Random events?

So how about:
Small, 50-70% ocean, lifeforms - rare, rainfall - dense, do-or-die, you CAN set your research goals, all the victory conditions on (including cooperative?), flexible starting location, no visible map, scattered pods, random events on?

I think cooperative is cool , we never know how the ploit will develop...
I started a game on another thread but every player created their own password. Please help me here but I dont understand: why we need someone to hold passwords? Are you afraid that people play another one turn?

If someone vanishes we need the password to give to a replacement, dont we?
And to ensure noone cheats (not saying anyone would) someone independant keeps them and give the relevent one to a replacement player should we need one.
Or isnt that how its done?

if somebody quits never to be seen again and you don't know his password then the whole game is killed. An independant person could come in if the situation happens and give the pass to a new player of simply delete everything belonging to that player who quit.

Settings sound good, all difficulty levels are fine by me.
How about the start, extra pods?

Extra units is a good way to kickstart a PBEM. 3-4 colony pods, 3-4 formers, and a couple of scout rovers/patrols. Whoever holds the passwords can look at the starting placement of players and ensure no one got screwed on their landing zone.

I guess we need a third-party (fifth party, heh) to hold the passwords then - any volunteers?

Assuming we start, and unless someone dropped out, there isn't any more room in this game. If you're really new to MP, it might be good for you to play on a lower difficulty level than everyone else.

I'm sorry, I have to drop out. I'm just too busy to play more than the game I'm already in.
