What really pisses me off about CIV2!
If you attack, your attacker automatically moves into the space vacated. It murders my Knights. Is there any way round this?

Yes, there is a way: don't initiate your attack with the mouse, but with the num pad instead!
If you do that, your attacker won't use any leftover movement to go to the now empty place!

Do not use the mouse for any critical movement. Always use keypad for attacking if you don't want to expose your attacking forces.
