Demo Game #3 - Restrictions
Several restrictions on our play have been suggested. So let's vote on them.
A is about Wonders, B is about Caravans, C is about ICS, and D is about Barbs.

I don't think we should set a specific limit on built cities, but we should expect to have about as many as this past game. I think as long as we are developing the cities we build normally (as opposed to the specific minimalist ICS type), we won't have to worry we are ICSing. We'll naturally want to build a number of cities quickly at the start, though, and that's fine.

We could set ourselves a building limit of 10-15 city's so we have to conquer the rest.
This would give us a bit more of a military challenge.

We could consider that. Does anyone else want me to poll on a specific number of cities we can build?

can I suggest a restriction? No ending the game unless we get the maximum possible score.

maxing out the score is extremely tedious

Thats the kind of thing you put yourself through once.....
But as civ has a max number of city's and future techs, you can just calculate yourself to the max score.
(I've seen a seve file from a Russian guy who done that, looked very boring
Lets just limit our citybuilding so we actualy have to think twice about our military options

The Caravan and Barb questions are closer than I would have guessed from the prior discussions!

euhm you really want to kill some ppl? believe me a highscore game is very specific, most of the time there would be only one or 2 ministers who have a job, and the endgame would consist of a zillion carans moving back and forth(1 to 2 hours a turn...not what I would call a lot of fun for all the players)
Go wonders, Save the camel, let them live in peace, and I love big cities far from one another ICS

Yeesh, I just made it.
No caravans but yes to Wonders. I have done Trade Supremo before and Caravans seemed to be so unbalancing - I never use them like that in my games.
No to ICS (it's the principle, dammit!) and roving Barbs.

Well, if we have no WoWs, ICS will simply not be possible.
I like barbs, since they pose far more threat to the AI than to a human.
No WoWs can be fun, but if we're going there, our limited number of cities (due to unhappiness) will need camels.
Actually, I care little for the details. It's just great to know that we can take the gloves off and kick some AI tail.

Never got a chance to vote, but that's ok, looks like a challenging game. No wonders, no caravans, no ICS, raging hordes.
On a mostly land map too IIRC.

I think it's not the number of cities, but the speed at which the cities are built, and the distance between the cities that tells wether you ICS or not...
