That's an off-topic question.
However...

Plenty of replies, some spam, some actually with useful insight, not unlike most of the threads on Apolyton. Unfortunately, no response yet from the two people who's opinions matter the most.
Still holding out hope though that one of them will find time to respond (not that it is such a big deal, I just don't understand the rational).

They have stated their opinion on this subject before... and made the rule the way it is because THAT'S THE WAY THEY WANT IT. And since this isn't a Democracy...
They have more important things to do then answer every thread that questions the rules they have established.
If this was the first thread on the subject... maybe... but this topic has been discussed to death already.

But I don't care anyway. I already have the right to use my picture of Bob the dinosaur.

Occasionally. His posts aren't spam though.
(Not that I'm saying Markos' posts are)

Thanks Ming.
I hadn't seen any of the previous responses to this topic (must have been when I wasn't lurking).
I can appreciate that they make the rules, it is their site, and was just looking for the rational, but wanting it this way is good enough for me I guess.
As for having more important things to do, I agree, and had it not been discussed before, I am sure they would have replied.
Anyhow, as I said, not a big deal, just curious.
Moving onward...

I think EVERYBODY would admit that the rule is arbitary at best. But, since they feel a "minimum" is required, any level they would have set could be considered arbitrary
If I were them, I wouldn't want to continue the discussion either... That's the limit and rule they've set, and I'm sure everbody can have their own different opinion on the subject. What else is there really to say on their part

They could raise the limit to 1000 for anyone that thinks 500 is unfair.
