Do you mean Indiana doesn't have daylight saving time? I thought Arizona was the only state that didn't observe daylight savings time.

...which doesn't apply to Apolyton, as Settler runs Red Hat Linux 7.2.

Just noticed that the time on the posts changed accordingly here in the US without needing to change my time zone.

Flash, I mean the times that apolyton uses in it's posts. Not your own computer.

Yes, Apolyton is now running summer time, so the time now labelled GMT in the options is actually BST, and all other times are still the corresponding distance away from BST, not GMT. So unless you come from some weird equatorial place with no daylight savings time, the setting should be the same +/- from GMT as it is in the winter, even though GMT is now BST
All clear?

Ah, let's see. So if I lived in China who doesn't observe DST,...since GMT is now GMT +1 when compared to the old system, that means I would have to change to China +1 to stay in the same time zone. Which would mean I would change my setting to Tokyo, Korea time. And we all know how the Chinese feel about the Japanese

Actually, I have to set mine back 2 hours now due to our daylight saving ending and 'Polys starting.

So you mean you had it set forward 1 hour because you were in daylight savings time when we weren't, so now you're setting it 1 hour behind?

It's really weird around Indianapolis because the networks time delay all non-live stuff an hour so that prime-time is always 8 o'clock. This is in contrast to Northern Indiana which airs the shows the same time they are shown in Chicago (7 o'clock). Cable shows are always shown on Chicago time in both areas though.
|
That's not the whole story. Those bizarre Hoosiers can't make up their minds any which way. It seems every town and county decides for themselves. Sure some are on Chicago time, but some stick to CST. Most are die hard ESTers, but some stick with Louisville or Cinci and cave in to EDT.
It's like 4 time zones in one friggin' state.
[Swifty Morgan:] I'm from Indiana!
[Latigo Smith:] Well, that could be good… or that could be bad.

Yeah, I lived in northern Indiana, so half the year we were with Illinois, and the other half with Michigan.
I got screwed up this week with Adult Swim being on an hour earlier - it is nice though because I can go watch Trigun and still be done at 11:30.
