iirc it was for Fallout Tactics, which isnt really a RPG. It was to replace a corrupted object file which a tiny minority of CD's shipped with. The majority had no problem and the minority had no alternative but to download an uncorrupted file if they did not want to send off for a replacement CD since it wasn't something that could be "patched".

I had some damn annoying problems with Fallout Tactics. In the last mission I killed an enemy that was so big I almost coudln't get the vehicle around the damn thing. The funny thing was they'd just patched it so you couldn't drive through dead enemies (of the gigantic robot type) and that was what caused me problems.

Of course, FT was nowhere NEAR as buggy as Fallout 2 when it came out.

The number of MOO3 posts did seem to quickly fall after release which I believe to be indicative of everyone's disappointment. There is a natural slight increase after the first patch. Personally, I am still playing MOO3 and don't think I would like GalCiv although I would give the demo a chance. I still see myself playing MOO3 in the coming months. The next game I may be willing to buy is UFO Aftermath (I'm a big X-Com fan).

Daz,

don't fall into despair. If there's not that many threads here, it doesn't mean it's dead.

C'est la vie.
What do you expect the hoops to be? (I appreciate insider info).
