What about picking the winning race drom the "Best race picks" thread??? Just thinkin'... u've already "arguing" about a race from months now, so why don't create the race that 'wins' the competition?
It would be a good idea. First, of course, u must choose one of the 3 races. Maala

This is not the purpose - we know that we could have taken the best race. We are trying to find out which race suits the tastes of almost all of the players (or at least those who care about it) in a more democratic way :-) And democracy takes some time .... you must have some patience :-)

Should we have our own sub-forum for DG?
And a civgroup?
And what is our race´s name?
Thiese are quite stupid questions, but still...

Management won't give us a sub-forum unless we completely overrun this one.
They won't give us a civ group unless we can show an incredible amount of interest in the game.
What the hell is our race's name, anyway?

I would like to participate in this. That is, if you guys can accept that I'm mostly available on weekends (perhaps once or twice a week on weekdays).
I have to warn you though. I'm a relative butt-head when it comes to MoO2

I do not know who makes the call, but I see no reason why you should not be welcome. We have yet to actually start the game anyway.

Is there a thread for discussion of our name, or will we just go with "Darlok"?

Similarly, are we going to name the homeworld and discovered systems, or are we just going to take what the game throws at us?

I would like to join this demogame. May not be incredibly active due to my new responsibilities in the Civ3 ISDG, but I'd like to at least be a citizen over here.
I honestly don't remember which version of MoO2 I have installed... I'll have to check that.

Sorry I thought I had done so, why else would I vote? I was even nomintated. Why do you say I am spamming your threads? I was not offended by being over looked, but to say I am spamming, makes me wonder if I am doing something wrong, if so what? My intention is to be a participent, not an annoyance. So if I am failing, I need to figure out why or stop.

It was a joke, vmxa1. Its very obvious you plan to be a part of the game you've just never stated that you want to join.
Hmmmm. You still haven't stated that you want to join the MoO2 Democracy game. Are you a politician by anychance...................
You've stated you "intend to participate" but no "I want to join....." or "can I join.."
(Basically I just went through the thread and added the names of everyone who stated they wanted to join, several people made comments but were noncommital on actually joining.....)

Hope you'll mind my ignorance...
Is all of this about 1 of you Starting a game on his PC, then uploading saves so each can continue playing after his turn?
Or maybe All start with the same save, then upload theirs once they acheive victory?
Or Is this really MULTIPLAYER somehow, each playing a player, all having the same Race on the same map? :-S
Where is the Democracy/Succession/Whatnot Aspect of this demo game?
I hope you don't find me really annoying with this post, having to explain all and such...
, Ariel

The premise was/is that one person would play the game, but post every so often and get input from other players that would be ministers.
Some things would be put out for debate. The idea I think was to have some fun and see how other tought/played.

How about, having leader uploading saves for ministers to view, then have their input on regular basis. And by the way can I join the game?

You are welcome :-) :b
Btw our leader is Whoha and he is uploading the saved game after each period in the "Turn XXX-YYY" thread, along with a quick report what happened during these turns. Then we discuss the situation in the same thread.
