windowed mode program

Hi all,

There used to be a program out there that let you run programs/games in a window or windowed mode.

It's very similar to the Everquest application EQ window but generic. Any ideas as to the name or where I can find it?

lots of views... anything, anything at all? Am I on crack or did this exist?

Ha! I'm not on crack. Someone at EQwindows.com just told me the program I'm looking for is called DX Windows. FYI, support is limited but I'm going to give it a shot.

I can run AC in a window, the only problem being that it screws up the palette and resolution for other graphics.
