Anarchy or Communism
Some choice, huh?
But seriously, which would you rather live under?
For clarity's sake, I mean real-life communism and anarchy (not some idealized perfect system).
Anyone who reads my posts knows which I would choose but I'm gonna keep quiet and hope for an objective poll. I am curious to hear everyone's responses. This is gonna be fun

Exactly, Lord Merciless.
but since you're kind of an OT noob , I will spare you , and ask you one question: describe each of the systems that you want me to choose from. Examples will be welcome, also. there are many examples of these systems.

I think your referring to Stalinism when you say "communism".
Therefore I'd rather live under anarchy and then escape from that country.

Your signature is very sad, Azazel (no one saw that). Sad because you know the ID for the OT, and sad because people will still know what it means. Sad also because I'm laughing so much at it.
Anyways, under Stalin-like regime I would certainly be killed for my beliefs, whereas in anarchy there is not necessarily a dominant power to silence me, so I choose anarchy.
And please, don't call what happened in the Soviet Union, China, North Korea, and Cuba Communism. Autocracy with a command economy, not Communism, that's what they've got. In perfect Communism, there is no government.

EDIT: I made a boo boo!
Azazel: Save your finger for the capitalists ... you should know by now that I favor some sort of Socialist Democracy that would have many Communist-style aspects. I just hate the name "Communist" because of the 4sswipes that created a murderous authoritarian government using it's name.

Commie. Under communism, only the government can kill me without fear of retribution.

Communism if I really had to choose. Though there will be lots of corruption, I'd rather live in a country where law & order is taken care of by the state instead of by some gangster and his clan.

Unfortunately, Soviet party leaders were gangsters for the latter half of the 20th Century.

INCORRECT!!!
In perfect communism, there is no STATE. There is, however, a government. The government and the state are not identical, though, in theory, the government sets the guidelines for the state. The state is the bureaucracy, the military, etc. The state is a separate body from the people, whose purpose is to perpetuate the power of the ruling class. Thus, we'll still need a state under socialism, because there will still be classes. Once we acheive a classless society, it will cease to have any function, and whither away.
The government is the people we elect. We'll still need a government to handle the coordination of society, but the tasks of the state will be carried out by the whole of society rather than a specialized group.

near anarchy communism seems best.
i mean, the ideal situation for communism to work would inevitable have to be small co-opperatives, no factory bigger then 50workers etc, and life based around small communities. in this instance what ever govt. there is would have to much effect on day to day life, but will still be there to oversee certain things.

I go with communism
Not much changes really,
As long as you dont criticize the government, you probably wont get in trouble.
You dont get exploitet from some greedy corporation anymore ... now the new great communist party - hurray - takes that job
You dont have to choose from a thousand newspapers which you wanna read. All the important and of course true info is provided from your beloved government
Ah, and you dont have to remember the new Name from your country leader every 4 years or so

I choose communism. Like other people have been saying and how I've stated in a previous thread....
The whole purpose of having government is to protect it's people. Having no government (i.e. Anarchy) is pretty much every man for himself. Although it's a pretty hard choice, Oppression or Uncertainty & Fear.
