Cold War Crisis released!
After a final test over the last 2 nights I decided today to release my "Cold War Crisis" scenario.
This features not only the "mail" protagonists of the Cold War. It kicks off immediately after the Cuban Missile Crisis in late 1962 and gives you also the opportunity to play as some "underdog" like the United Arab Republic, the State of Israel of the People´s Republic of Yugoslavia ....

This has been out for a while, hasn't it? I distinctly remember playing through most of a game as NATO until I had to wipe my entire hard drive.

Well, I pre-released it for a PBEM playtest a while ago but the game died away ... maybe there will be an update if you´re interested in it ....
Just let me know ...

Ah right. Shame; it's a really enjoyable scenario, especially when you build NATO up and take on the USSR. And win.

Is this the same version I playtested in (and, as Yugoslavia, got promptly annihilated)?

Yes, it is mostly. But remember that (1) the AI cannot wipe you out in one turn, and (2) the last laugh is on you.

1963: UAR forces smash through West Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, annihilating the State of Israel.
1965: UAR forces smash through Arab League defenses in North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula.
I like this scenario. I like it very much.

It does let you blow the holy heck out of everything in the world, I must say. It's nice to have game in which to unleash death and destruction with all sorts of shiny and expensive weapons

It´s a pleasure to see you guys like it though I also have to confess that it´s a little bit boring and non-challenging against the AI ..... as usual.

Sorry, Shaka, I wasn't referring to you. I was referring to Jim Panse's comment #2 located just above yours, and was too lazy to quote him.

Please?

Yeah, I did get your email, Brian. Sorry for not having responded yet but I had a lot of weird things to do last week. Please accept my apologies.

I like the scenario but it's a pity you didn't made it on a gigamap.

Thanks, Jim.
I think it's kinda fitting for my site anyways, since it's one of the few scenarios set in the Cold War with two playable Arab powers. And major ones to boot. Not to mention it has wonderful replayability.
I'm looking forward to that net version.
