The "Tell me to listen to your music" thread, 229th edition
Rules:
If you want to recommend a band or singer instead of just a single song, please do so. However, name one song as an example of their best work.
I am particularly interested in Hip Hop, Rock, and Country. However, anything is allowed. There is one condition: if you want to post a techno song, post a warning beforehand so I don't mistakenly download it.
That is it. Get posting.

For rock, Bob Segar.
I would say the "Travelling Man/Beautiful Loser" medley from Live Bullet is possibly the best live song ever recorded, IMO.

This is the only track this particular production team has done and it is my all time favorite. Somewhere between house and trance, but all the way progressive - in an epic manner. Try er out if you can stand robot music

Albert S - proposition
Download a live set from kazaa, "Kiss 100" by Max Graham, my favorite dj (It's about an hour long)
Don't have to listen to the whole thing... although it's Philly influenced tech house. But definitely speed forward to 36:00, and listen through to about 39:00 (at least). I think you'll love this song, it reminds me of you every time
Now you tell me of a song I might like, and I'll listen!

I like sappy music played by bands
Jack Johnson - Flake
Weezer - say it aint so
Ozma - Battlescars (if u tried weezers ur guaranteed to like it)
By the way, all artists I mentioned, their songs are all good. And "best" song is quite debateable.

For Hip Hop, try something on the wild extremes-
Techno Animal- pick up a track like "DC10", or "Cruise mode 101". Don't be put off by their name- it's rap set to crushingly heavy noise heavily influenced by Grindcore.
Rock? Get some God Machine. Pick out "Home" or "The Blind Man".
Country- you need some Uncle Tupelo. "Black Eye" is a good one. Or Pete Yorn's "Strange condition".

Something Corporate is good. I like "I Want to Save You" and "Hurricane".
Unwritten Law is also good, and so is their self-titled album. Good songs: "Harmonic" and "Cailin" (my theme song)
Coldplay of course. Clocks is simply an amazing song.

I'm listening to Tatu at the moment.
However, they aren't really in the genres you are after.

(Yeah, it doesn't fit any of your genres, but give it a whirl.)
