Good luck GT, may the best man win.
If elected, I will continue to run it fairly and impartially, without judging before the case is conducted. I will also be allowed to here the impending trial, which GT will not be able to. For each case I will create an official thread, only posed in by judges and the council for each party involved.
The formula I would usually use for a case would be: start with opening speeches from each side, then evidence/arguments will be presented and countered, then on to the next piece of evidence. At the end there will be a closing by each candidate. Then, after judges deliberation, there will be a summation and verdict, given by the Chief Judge, but agreed and written by all serving judges.
I promise to uphold international law, be reserved in my judgements, without hasty conclusions, and uphold the tradition that participation is optional, and will not be forced on nations who wish to self rule. Domestic policy is not the issue here, only foreign policy, since I promise to uphold your right to govern your country as you see fit. It is also my intention to try to prevent any war from happening, through mediation and compromise.
Thank you, and please Vote Drogue
but only if you want to

A couple of things you could do rj. Who do you think would be better at the position, still active in 2 months to post the next election. Who do you trust more to be impartial and unbiased. If this doesn't help, maybe look at the nations and see which you think is better. Or you could just vote for me
It's up to you, your decision. If you want to ask me any questions, either post here or PM me.

Dammit, Drogue, stop always getting in ahead of me and posting all the obvious answers as if they were your ideas!
Anyway, I don't think there's much in Drogue's post to disagree with, and the only difference ebtween us is, as he said, that I won't be able to judge the first case (although I see no reason why I couldn't do the paperwork, as long as I wasn't actually influenceing the proceedings).

Sorry GT, comes from posting the polls
It is strange though, despite our big differences with regards to the environment/economy priority, we seem to have very similar opinions and styles. I look forward to working with you as a judge

Methinks a little informal for court proceedings
Thank you to all who voted. As Chief Judge, I will post the thread for the first case. Thank you for electing me, and congrats to GT, for forcing this run off

Congrats to Drogue on his victory.
* GT scurries off to begin plotting how to finally beat Drogue in an election.

Don't let him post his speech first, so he can't claim all the good ideas were his own.

Like he said, it comes with posting the polls.
Come next elections at the ACDG, though...

*Grins* Indeed. If there are elections though. We'll probably win before then.

Well, all I have to do to prevent that is to point out that little section in the Constitution which says that if I have to take over more than 2 positions at once, the game halts...

I thought that was 2 directorships? So Governorships do not count? And GT: I can just decide to run for something different, I always fancied the Commissioners chair...

If the alpha talent has to take over 2 or more government places we will freeze the game until new elections are held.
|
It would appear that Governorships do count. And feel free to run for Commish. (unless of course you object to volunteering to be tortured )
