Quick Internet Explorer Question
OK so I upgraded IE with ServicePack-something yesterday.
Now I can't access encrypted (I think) sites like my yahoo e-mail and my bank! Gotta pay my bills!
Does anyone know how to fix this?

You and your computer are unclean. Scrub both with wire wool.

Check internet options -> security.
If might have "adjusted" your settings.
Try adding the sites you can't access to your trusted list ie: "https://*.yahoo.com" or "https://*.yourbank.com" and see if that fixes the problem.

Use Opera. I've had problems using Mozilla because it uses something really fancy security wise that bad sites can't make heads or tails of.

Well, Yahoo works after I added it to the trusted list, but the bank doesn't. Strange. I couldn't see any changes to the security settings though.
I have Win 98.
yep Mozilla has been nice to me so far. Still I prefer IE (when it works)...
Maybe I'll check it out. It's free right?

It's ad-based shareware (not spyware).
Version 7.10 is going to be released soon with several of what I consider to be key improvements. I am using the beta right now.
You shouldn't go to bad sites.
I have to select my University Courses somehow.

It is your security settings that are preventing it from working. Check your bank's web address. Sometimes they are http://... and sometimes (for the more secure stuff) they will be http s://...
The good thing about using this type of arrangement is that the sites you actually trust will be able to work properly, and the bad sites you may visit will be limited to html only, none of the more fancy stuff that can compromise your systems security.
