It seems not possible to trade resources with the AI in the game I'm playing now.
situation is like this:
* the game is finished but I continued playing
* I gave both AI all techs there are and some cities
When I try to trade the advisor tells me I should get a sea trade route to that AI, but since they so nicely tore down the harbors in the cities I gave them for this purpose I then build a little city on an island on wich there was already an AI city. I build a harbor in my city so it's connected to the rest of my world an resources and there is a road connecting my city and the city of the AI. Now when I try to trade resources and luxuries I still get the message I should get a sea trade route.
What am I forgetting?
