It's always interesting at the beginning of a turn to see what the priorities of the previous premier have been. When I arrived at Little Big Horn to begin my reign as premier of the glorious Sioux, I found that comrade kcbob had begun a policy of trade buildup, with the majority of cities building caravans. While trade, and the accompanying science bonus is good I felt that we as the rightful rulers of earth needed to place a little more emphasis on our expansion. As a result, about 1/3 of the caravans that were being built when I assumed my rule are now building Cavalry so that we may more rapidly spread the good word of communism across the world and spies to aid in breaking our enemies resistance to the truth.
1690 - Dye Caravan, Bergen->Minsk, 192g
1700-1710 - During these years our people finished building several caravans and arranged transport. Changed production to Cavalry and Spies.
1720 - Completed 1 Harbor, 1 Library, 1 Granary, 2 Engineers, 1 Spy and discovered Refining, now researching Electricity
1730 - Rushed Women’s Suffrage to beat the Russians (will complete next turn)
During these years also I arranged a buildup of troops at the city Teotihuacan. The last of those troops have now arrived from the mainland. My successor will have fun picking off Aztec cities.
Comrade John-SJ
Game forwarded to Roman. Cc'ed to thoth and kcbob.

The great war of liberation against the Zulus (who sneak attacked us), Greeks (who also sneak attacked us) and the Aztecs went well. The Aztecs lost one city to our offensive and saw their capital's (and another city's) city walls destroyed. The Zulus also had their capital city's defenses destroyed and are on the verge of being destroyed. The Greeks lost only one city, but plenty of units.
Despite the war our proletariat has completed the restoration of J. S. Bach's Cathedral to show the people how the opiate of the masses worked and make them happy to be communist and atheistic.
We have also completed research on electronics and began researching combustion.

1774 AD, an all war politic is decided. We switch to communism in 1776 AD and start a massive spy and cavalry production. We capture Sparta. 1778 AD we discover what wasresearched before (don’t ask me what it was) and now look for mimiaturization. In the meantime, we kill some greek and persian units. 1782 AD already time to quit ! Athens has fallen and the Sun Tzu’s Academy is ours. Good news for our ennemies. What’s more : we’re rich and powerful. Game sent to Scouse Gits with copies to Kcbob and Ribannah.

Sorry for the delay but the affairs of Comrade Ozymandius have reached a stage where they cannot be dashed off in an hour or two.
The Presidium Strategic Committee met in late 1782. The People were at war with all the other people. Comrade Gigamapski (Julius to his friends) had knocked the heart out of Greece with the conquest of Athens.
a) - The first priority was to finish off the Greeks before they could re-group and found another capital.
b) - The Persians were the nearest enemy but little intelligence was available about this empire. A foothold in Persia could provide a launch pad for either the Germans or Russians.
c) - A discussion took place about a Spaceship - this debate continued for several seconds.
d) - An aged general mentioned a Republic - but he was sent out and forced to watch Ally McBeal!
1784 - Corinth bought for 584g - 212g plundered.
Spy destroys Courthouse in Knossos; Second spy bribes
Knossos for 920g; 212g plundered. Greeks have no capital and under 1000g. Greek cities of Mycenae and Ephesos discovered.
1786 - MINIATURIZATION (Combustion next) Silk to Persepolis 210g; Dye 108g and Copper 112g
Embassy with Persians This lot are a joke - a small one.
Persepolis captured 211g; Courthouse destroyed in Thermopylae (Spy captured)
Thermopylae bribed for 781 - 298 plundered
Mycenae captured 73g
Ephesos bribed for 162g ; 73g plundered - Thessalonica discovered
Embassy with Russians
Yakutsk bribed for 487g 127g plundered; Russia goes Communist!
1788 - Port facility built at Bergen .. sold later as the war front moved on ...
Pasagade bribed for 211g; 146g plundered; Persians go Communist - but a little too late.
Arebela bribed for 560g - 104g plundered
Susa bribed 453g - 65g plundered
Antioch bribed 246g - 28g plundered Persians destroyed One way to clear the Partisans. Courthouse sabotaged in Delphi.
Delphi bribed for 422g - 289g plundered
Thessalonica bribed for 214g - 77g plundered Greeks destroyed
Courthouse sabotaged in Tiblisi - spy captured. Russian diplomat killed.
1790 - City of Russian View founded to work ferries between the city of In Yer Face and onwards to Russia.
Wine to Antioch - 65g; Coal to Little Bighorn 112g; Silk, Gold & Coal to Tenochtitlan 228g52g/122g; Gold to Zimbabwe 122g
Tiblisi bribed for 1830 - 271 plundered. UN enforce Cease Fire with Russians!
Germans sink empty (phew!) transport with an Ironclad
1792 - Silk to Pasargadae 158g; Silver to Little Bighorn 157g; Coal to Tenochtitlan 190g
City of New Ferry founded to ease transport between former Greek continent and Zimbabwe
Demanded tribute from Russians and it's WAR again.
1794 - COMBUSTION Automobile next research goal.

Embassy with Germans Germans are a Democracy - yuk! Munich's City Walls destroyed.
Sevastopol bribed for 795g (Shakespeare's Theatre) 188g plundered and another UN Cease Fire!
1796 - Russians change to a Republic; no tribute from them - but a bit more war.
Odessa bribed for 1214g - 242g plundered. Yep, another UN cease fire.
Silver to Little Bighorn 175g; Oil to Tenochtitlan 79g; Gold to Goblinwatch 72g;

Turn finished and sent to John and Roman.
The War of 1812 was inherited by Comrade kcbob and he vowed to do all in his power to crush the evil German empire. To that end, he changed the science rate from 20% to 60% to speed up the discovery of Robotics, the source of the All Mighty Howitzer.
Over the next decade, transports left by his predecessor were sent to the coast of Germany to aid in the war. Using the units aboard those transports, and with the units already on hand in Germany, the towns of Nuremburg, Munich, Berlin, and Konigsburg fell to our noble forces. The Pyramids were captured, Mass Production and Computers discovered, and the ripe underbelly of the Germanic people laid bare.
But, as is the way with the Peoples’ government, kcbob was ousted from power mere moments before his greatest victory, the KGB instead placing comrade John-SJ at the head of the party. In a last act of defiance, chairman kcbob stole the last remaining Krispy Kreme doughnuts to be found in the land and ate them in one sitting, overdosing on the sugar intake. At least he died with a smile on his face.

Cursed be the name of the one who ate the last Krispy Kreme, I was really looking forward to that sugar rush to get me through my reign as Premier of the Sioux!
I am incremental rush buying armor on German continent until transports return from the Sioux mainland with fresh reinforcements.
1826 - Leipzig liberated (221G)
1828 - Hamburg liberated (149G)
1830 - Research into Refrigeration complete, now researching Robotics. Heidelberg liberated (181G)
As time passes premier John-SJ finds that his wife is calling him to put off conquering the world until tomorrow. But I have had a short and fruitful reign. With limited military resources I have left the German empire a tattered and fragmented remnant of its former self. I will leave the final thrust and victory to my capable successor, Roman the Terrible.
Victory is OURS!
(save game forwarded to Roman, cc'ed to thoth and kcbob)

Heh. It's done. Victory is ours.
1830: Rushbuilt battleships in Cuba and Hanover.
1832: City walls destroyed in Frankfurt and Bremen.
Frankfurt and Cologne successfully bombarded.
Frankfurt captured. Bremen captured. Cologne captured.
The Germans are destroyed, and we are victorious.
If anyone wants a copy of the last turn (pre victory credits) I'll happily e-mail it to them. In the meantime.......who's up for another go round?

Whilst doing the research on starting techs we saved some exceptional starts … games we always meant to play…
The following are available in MP, and I think they are all on a Standard Large World. If we want another dose of Lightning tell me if any of these take your fancy.
Sioux - 5 starting techs - two specials in view
Egyptians - 6 starting techs
Babylonians - 7 starting techs with Monarchy and Trade + 2 Specials
Greeks 7 starting techs - one special
Vikings - 5 starting techs (Monarchy start) + 2 specials, 1 hut and the hint of a river.
